After spending a good 30 minutes trying to get the app to re-pair after connection issues, I thought of finding the device in Bluetooth list and chose “forget device” and only then was I able to repair the device quickly. ### 1/5 — Not worth the headache *2020-01-29, version 1.7.0* The app controls nothing ended up throwing the bed shaker away, just disappointed in this due to the fact there not much opinions for hard of hearing alarm clocks ### 1/5 — Please update (deaf surgical tech) *2020-01-18, version 1.7.0* I’m deaf and do not have the ability to wake up on call when this app constantly has issues! Every time I go in I always get the same notification “device busy” when will it end. I can’t even set an alarm! People pay money for this alarm with an app that doesn’t even work. I’m desperate I need a job! Fix this issue! This app hasn’t been updated in 9 months, that is atrocious. It keeps giving me a message Device busy. It is quite frustrating to set the alarm everyday and to delete the previous alarms that I no longer need. It works pretty good but I don’t get any instructions how to turn it off. In every time I woke up I tried to turn it off and it won’t. I have to leave it till one minute is taking up. I know it’s connected bc it’ll go off if I hit the “test alarm” button on the app. But anytime an alarm is set, it doesn’t go off. I had bad experience with that alarm. It's a lot of work to fix, try to connect with Bluetooth many time try to fixed and feel don’t comfortable whit this. Requires you to double tap home button and swipe out of app in between setting each alarm • DO NOT BUY Developers: • this app feels like it was released in 2001. Please fix and release an update ASAP. This is not acceptable. You over promised and under delivered with this. ### 1/5 — Sonic bombs out *2018-09-09, version 1.5.2* I have worn aids since the age of 4 so I have had many devices over the years. In fact, I have to stand alone sonic boom alarm clock which works relatively well. However, Bluetooth to Apple phone does not work. It vibrates for less than two seconds and since then I haven’t even been able to get it to do that. It’s pretty stressful as it is a strategic solution to wake me up when I am on call for my job. After that, it gives me a phone notification but the actual alarm does not shake. The alarm only shakes when I press the “test alarm” button. This app is simple and underdeveloped. I’m a healthcare professional that takes call so the ability to wake for calls and texts in the middle of the night is something I absolutely must have. I tried everything including deleting/re-installing the app. I don’t have any issues with other electronics that pair via Bluetooth. There should be a dedicated button to reset the pairing without having to go through the set up process again. Now after having for about 6 months or less it is not vibrating when the alarm goes off . So doesn’t do me much good for getting up !! I even deleted the app & put it back on thinking it might help - no joy . I appreciate how it is accessible with the VoiceOver screen reader. However, I just got an iPhone SE and the shaker will not pair with it for some reason. I have an iPod Touch that it still works with so I will use it with that but it appears to not work with newer iPhones on iOS 16. Finally I get the best of both worlds. The flexibility/ features the smartphone offers and the bed shaking power the sonic bomb offers. I first apps released had some bugs but this latest release seems to have fixed any outstanding issues. Used it for about 2 weeks now... it’s working for me but there was one time I had the repair it randomly. I just don’t see anywhere to hit snooze or turn the devices alarm off once it has stared going off. It has kept me getting up, I have been staying up till 2am and needed something to jolt me awake. My wife bought it I’m glad she did, I’m sure my boss it happy also. ;) ### 4/5 — Very decent bluetooth alarm *2019-08-26, version 1.7.0* I travel a lot and often find myself situation where battery dies. Often find I set up alarm wrong or one time alarm choice. Sonic Bomb solved several things. 1. Bluetooth connection to iphone 2. App allows multi alarms (6:05, 6:30, 6:45 etc...). I am heavy sleeper and snooze once will result overslept. 3. Alert disconnect bluetooth as if you left hotel and forgot to pack it. Very helpful traveling but not at home. 4. Has extra usb you can use for charging phone. Very helpful if you have one plug. 5. Love that its vibrate when facetime call. That great feature for overnight oncall employee. Maybe good tool for office employee but I think wired plug will be awkward. But good for overnight on call employee. It offer option of email/text. I only opted for phone/facetime calls. If I had this, would have solved my wife locked out from house. She couldnt reach me. But that another story to share and this option would have solved. What my wish list for future app update 1. Timezone adjustment. I try follow 5am to 7am of local timezone. I am international time traveler. If I set 6am in Chicago time, I am in Paris, it shows 12pm or 1pm alarm following CST time. Not local time zone. 2. Home vs travel mode. I want use it at home and dont want get alerted everytime bluetooth disconnect. I get it 20+ times through out the day when I am at home. Even outside of the house I will get notification. Overall - Great buy and strong vibration. Nothing wrong with hardware.
