Even when it has unlimited access to contacts, it ignores notification settings and makes plays the ring sound when I have disabled sound notifications. Connected to the airport WiFi and used SMC to call my carrier and they quickly fixed the problem! ### 5/5 — Mom is still able to call *2024-03-19* Mom is 94 and lives in Europe. She hasn't quite caught on to those newfangled cell phones, so she uses the old landline number when she calls. Sonic Mobile Communicator allows me to receive those calls, no matter where I am in the world. The Communicator app works so well that I have literally cut the old telephone line to the power pole outside the house. The old landline phones have been recycled. Sonic is amazing in every way. So far it’s functionality seems quite good. It however does not enable SMS texting, so I am restricted to iOS users for that functionality, a separate app of course. Pretty please with sugar on top? ### 3/5 — Confusing to set up, but it works *2020-04-30, version 2.30.10* First thing: you don’t use your Sonic login with this app. Instead, go to the CommPortal on the Sonic.net website, tap “view account settings” and set up a special new password for this app there. After that, you get voicemail, etc. Quite nice actually!
