I hate the option apply to all that pops up when you trying to apply for one job. Been months no follow ups. This problem clearly still the same. And it’s not my mobile data either. Also app needs a section that shows jobs over 100k it’s only showing jobs that pay less. I’ve tried to update my preferences but your poorly (or perhaps by design) coded app doesn’t allow me to unsubscribe so I deleted my account but yet I still receive emails from you. The unsubscribe links you include in the spam emails you send are deliberately pointing to a non secure website and as such browsers block them. This is a very unethical borderline deceitful practice and I have reported you to the ICO. The jobs listed on the spam email and on your website don’t seem to exist and it appears that you are just collecting user details. Regards, Stan ### 1/5 — A viewer looking for a job seen advertised. *2021-09-27* I have real issues with using this app which sounds great, but it wants to collect and use far too much information from my personal life and usage ! I can’t and won’t give permission for any app or person to take that much information from my phone/tablet/laptop/computer, it’s verging on unethical and I fail to see why any app would need access to my contacts, email’s, messages etc,etc,etc ! If there was a way to limit the amount of personal information taken I would gladly use this app, it sounds and looks good and seems to have good enough reviews, but I’m not prepared to let any app have access to all of my “personal” information ! If there is some way to controlling what information is taken please make it clearer ! As it is just now - it’s far too complicated, confusing and worrying for me to use. I know I’m not the only one who has made these points, so if you can rectify the issues identified - then more people will use the app. I do not give anyone permission to have the amount of access to my personal information that this app asks for. I repeat;- I DO NOT GIVE PERMISSION FOR MY PERSONAL INFORMATION TO BE TAKEN OR USED BY THIS APP. Please make it less complicated ! **Developer response:** Hi, thank you for your feedback. Each time we asked you to access some personal information of yours, it was for a specific action you were taking on the app. And if you denied, we respect your choice and simply do not perform that action. For example, if you'd like to share the app with some contacts, we would ask you to access the contacts on your mobile phone for exactly that reason and we would not proceed if you forbid us. Accessing other details like your email address is a fundamental step that recruiters require when advertising jobs. We are aware that the more data we ask for, the lower will be the engagement from our users but at the same time this is a job search app and recruiters need to have the best possible idea of the candidates they are dealing with. We are happy to provide further details on any use of the data we kindly ask you to share and would appreciate it if you could contact us at info@sonicjobs.co.uk ### 1/5 — Avoid - not even worth a star. *2021-07-19* This job search app takes things to a whole new level- passing you details on to any Tom, Dick and Harry. 1000 emails in one month! Unsolicited mail from dozens of “wannabe” job search sites all advertising the same jobs, all wanting your details. Not one single prospective employer email- just other job sites emailing and peddling the same jobs over and over again. This just seems to be data mining - probably for scammers- be warned. **Developer response:** Hi, we are so sorry to hear that you didn't have a great experience on our app. When you create a CV and apply to jobs, your CV gets shared with the employers so that they can get in touch with you. I'm sorry if this resulted in too many emails and employers trying to reach out to you. Please feel free to email us anytime at info@sonicjobs.co.uk, and we'll be happy to help you with your job search. ### 1/5 — Hard to use. *2021-06-08* The app is quite frustrating to use most of the time. This is due to its inability to make it easy to use. It’s difficult for instance to use the location pin on the map when it gives you the option to set a radius of where you want the jobs to be. This doesn’t work and instead the app selects another location or it resets the location to where ever it was beforehand. The app also doesn’t bring up the job listing you may have just clicked on from an email that they’ve sent you, instead when you click on the link for the listing it reopens that app and that’s all. Overall the app is not that convenient to use as even when you search for specific jobs and use selective /keywords to find a job, the search engine will not bring up the specific jobs that correlate to what you may have searched instead brings up any job. The app may be helpful in showing jobs but no so good in finding. **Developer response:** Hi, I'm so sorry to see you didn't have a smooth experience on our app. We have just released a new version of the app and all the points from you mentioned have been fixed and are now working properly.
