Multiple room control from one simple screen, grouping, and all the music you could possibly stream all managed with a few clicks. My only reason for one less star rating is it’s not persistent in the dynamic island and I have to reopen the Sonify app from time to time to control music and volume. Perhaps there’s a workaround but with so little iOS settings for the app I don’t see how it’s possible. With no live activities I think that might be the issue. Other than that, the app is great and easily preferred over the factory Sonos app. ### 3/5 — Has promise but bugs *2026-06-18, version 2.0.1* Things to like: * Well-designed and arranged interface * Scenes are a time saver with volume presets * Volume sync is handy * Lock screen controls are also handy Problems: * Scenes threw JSON error with one iHeartRadio station and failed silently with another * Buttons to left do not return to top level for streaming services * Play Last inserts tracks in next position like Play Next ### 3/5 — Needs more features *2026-06-08, version 2.0.1* Doesn’t really do anything that the Sonos app can’t do. Wish there were additional features like shuffle albums or better view for albums that show lots of album covers in one page. ### 4/5 — Wow! *2026-05-11, version 2.0.1* Firstly! This is the go to Sonos controller! Sleek and smooth and works well and with the latest update it brings with it party mode- which I love. The only thing I would like- (and I can’t find an email for the developer, so sorry for putting this here), but in party mode I leave my phone locked on Sonify (using guided access) so friends can queue the music- BUT as long as they are searching for tracks it is fine- as soon as they play an album, or playlist it stops what is on and plays it straight away. What I would love (to develop this feature) is for the app to go into ‘Jukebox’ mode which locks them into either browsing or searching tracks and doesn’t allow them to play full albums or playlists- so essentially they can view albums and playlists etc- but it will only allow them to play individual tracks (like a Jukebox would). Maybe it could go into Jukebox mode and then needs a password or Face-ID before it goes back into normal operational mode. Other than this- GREAT app and well done to the developer on this achievement. ### 4/5 — Works better than my Sonos app *2026-04-27, version 2.0.1* I have a very large playlist that the official Sonos app refuses to play. Support said if I have a playlist of over 500 songs the app fails. This app on the other hand works well. I gave it 4 stars simply because once in a blue moon it crashes and closes itself. However I am really happy with it overall. ### 2/5 — What did you do?!! *2026-04-26, version 2.0.1* Lucas - go back to the previous version!! It worked great. The recently released “upgrade” is a mess. What you had before was our answer to Sonos’ terrible app. Please revert to the previous version and do ample testing before releasing a version with a ton of bugs. ### 4/5 — Excellent app - almost perfect *2026-03-04, version 1.6* Everything the old Sonos app was, but better. Used SonoPhone until I saw this. Has YouTube Music support which SonoPhone doesn’t have. One gripe. Let us toggle the color of the background. Much prefer a white background to all black. Could you please look into why? ### 5/5 — Perfect replacement *2026-01-20* This app continues to amaze me and how fast it is, and how much easier it is to use in the original Sonos app. It’s basically the exact same piece by piece that has an easier user interface. ### 3/5 — Functionally, better than the Sonos app, but has some frustrating UI/hierarchy. *2026-01-17, version 1.6* It would be great if it would show my Pinned artists, albums and playlists set up in my Apple Music app (or replicate the Apple Music Library tab). I appreciate the “favourites” feature, but it means I have 2 different ways of doing that between this app, and Apple Music (which I use when not ay home). At the very least, please let us re-order the “favourites”, and view them as a vertical list; the current alphabetical 2xN list is difficult to find albums if you have a lot of favourites. I also wish I could change the default discography view when on an artist’s page, like ordered by release year, and a way to separate albums, singles, and EP’s. When you discover a new artist, it’s really difficult to browse through their work in any logical order. I appreciate having some lock screen controls now, and the app is nice and responsive. So overall, I think this is a great alternative Sonos app, and it’s free, so I’m not complaining; just offering up some constructive criticism of the core UX when it comes to navigating my music library and discovering music. ### 4/5 — Great app - but stuck after Spotify password reset *2026-01-14, version 1.6* Love this app but have hit a problem after changing my Spotify password due to suspicious activity. Since the change, Sonify won’t reconnect to Spotify and never prompts me to re-authenticate, even after deleting and reinstalling the app and restarting my phone. Spotify no longer shows Sonify under connected apps, so it looks like the authorisation token needs to be reset on the Sonify side? I’m confident this is fixable with a server-side reset and would love some guidance or support to get it working again, as it’s otherwise a great app! Thank you! ### 4/5 — More useful streaming control *2026-01-05, version 1.6* Much more useful for streaming and controlling the system than the official Sonos app. Lock screen, Dynamic Island, and control center alone makes it so much more pleasurable to use the system now. My single complaint is that it dos randomly crash occasionally, although that does not impact playback. ### 5/5 — Simply superb *2026-01-04, version 1.6* This is what the Sonos app should be. No lag or delay, snappy, responsive and feature packed. Finally an app with everything you need to search, play and finally enjoy your music on Sonos again. It was arrogant and destroyed years of goodwill and loyalty for Sonos customers. This app is all you need to bring like and commonsense usability back to listening on Sonos. It’s an amazing music player overall with ultra-low latency and buttery-smooth performance. The whole app is well-polished and clearly crafted with great attention to detail, easily outperforming many similar apps. One small improvement suggestion for the developers: Current album artwork is heavily compressed and looks quite blurry, which ruins the visual experience especially on high-resolution screens.
