## What is Soniquete, flamenco and guitar?

Developed to help you rehearse your choreography and guitar falsetas by Flamenco Palmas, world pioneer in teaching the flamenco and palms, with a long career as professor of flamenco in the most important flamenco festivals in the world, such as Jerez from 2009 until today, Bienal de Sevilla, Flamenco Festival in Moscow, Dublin and Les Suds in Arles...and creator of the only existing methods to learn how to play claps, his video DVDs "Learn and practice the palmas with Jerónimo Utrilla" and "Palmas por palos 1 and 2 ", edited by www.flamencolive.com.

Soniquete App is the most powerful tool that exists today for the dancers and guitarists to rehearse and practice as it is programmable and adapts to the needs of any choreography or guitar falseta, and it works with real sound of claps recorded in studio by Jerónimo Utrilla .

It is not just a metronome like other App. Soniquete besides that, since it includes a special metronome with flamenco accents and a conventional one, brings you something completely new, remates (finishing off) and subidas (speed increase), which means a revolution in the market for flamenco applications.

You can program the app by selecting 4 options:
1. You can use it as a conventional metronome
2. You can use it as a flamenco metronome, selecting any palo (style) and its speed, clapping sound or metronome with accents, and it will sound continuously until you want.
3. You can program a certain number of measures/bars in any palo and its speed with a remate (finishing off). With clapping or metronome sound with accents.
. You can schedule a subida de escobilla:
Select number of slow measures/bars and its speed.
Select number of measures/bars to increase the speed.
Select number of fast measures/bars and a remate. 
And you can also select the type of clapping pattern you want to hear on fast measures, which can be the same that in the slow measures/bars or the one in the increasing.

All in all suits except in Sevillanas, that it will  play claps from the beginning until the end of the song so you can test your dancing or playing as in real life.

To all this we must add the possibility of having the times of each palo with the traditional way of counting, as it is done in many schools of flamenco dancing starting at 7 or 8, or always starting from time 1.
The App is counting number of beats in each measure and number of measures until you stop, all readily visible on the screen, as well as the slow measures, the increase and fast measures when selecting a subida.

He probado varias aplicaciones de este tipo y esta es la mejor desde mi punto de vista. La aplicación permite seleccionar muchos palos, ajustando la velocidad e indicando si se desean introducir contratiempos, cierres, escobillas. El sonido de las palmas me ha gustado mucho. La utilizo para estudiar. 
Tengo una propuesta de mejora para los desarrolladores. La velocidad mínima que la app permite configurar para la solea son 60bpm, podrías incluir una actualización para bajar el mínimo a 40 o 50 bpm?La justificación es que uso la app para formación y la velocidad de una solea por lo general es más lenta sobretodo durante el aprendizaje del acompañamiento a baile o cante.

Although I don’t use  it for dance but for guitar playing, it is a nice and simple reloj de compas.
A little  bit annoying that the app cannot stop the phone from going into locked mode while in use.

I've been buying up all the flamenco apps in the App Store.  Many of them are overpriced and super buggy with no updates in years. Some are overly complicated for those new to flamenco and struggling to find the compas to the varying palos. This one keeps it simple and the palmas sound great, very real sounding and mixes well with my guitar.  Also a great way to learn how to accompany the palos by learning palmas.  Only negative is some palos such as Sevillana doesn't have Repeat Forever options as the other palos. Overall this is the flamenco metronome I use most and am looking forward to updates. Would love to see a companion app to learn palmas techniques such as contratiempos that can be used with this app. Good work!
