I’m not sure why they have a customer support section. I’ve tried opening three customer support cases and they just get closed out after a few days without any communication or resolution. ### 1/5 — Never works *2026-01-17, version 2026.2.3* App is offline more than on saying no data available from the battery then suddenly works for an hour or two before going offline again. Battery service is just as bad bought a system which was expandable and is still in warranty period but they no longer produce or support the model. I would not buy sonnen again ### 1/5 — Worse than ever *2026-01-07, version 2025.49.4* App seems to get worse with each release. Annoying screen flashing on start up. Can no longer find record of grid outages. ### 1/5 — Terrible Customer Supporting *2025-12-20, version 2025.49.4* Had battery for 4 years loads of battery and customer service issues, decided to rip out system and replace with Tesla Powerwall 3. Best decision. Time, money and energy really not worth the effort with sonnen. ### 2/5 — No control *2025-12-06, version 2025.48.0* The app only allows you to change the backup buffer. No control for time if use charging, no ability to charge or discharge the battery. Now even appears to have lost its history “Achievements” where you could previously see when it provided power in a grid outage and energy self sufficiency. App does not work well after all. ### 3/5 — Inconsistent app *2025-11-25, version 2025.45.1* 2025 has seen app display improvements which are appreciated. However recent weeks show a serious viewing issue, at least for Sydney Australia. The daily view is no longer aligned to the 24 hours from midnight, making that view frustrating and useless. Very disappointed ### 5/5 — The HUD of solar *2025-05-24, version 2025.20.2* This is the only app I use to monitor all the data in my rooftop solar with battery. The panels also have an app but it’s inaccurate because any usage shown includes the battery being charged. The Sonnen app has all the data I need about energy generation, self sufficiency and a graph for each day showing energy generation, level of charge and usage.
