### 5/5 — Full version...it's about time.

*2011-10-09*

I am so excited the full version was released! Great voices! So easy to speak full sentences and organize my new voice. The quick phrases are so easy and quick to find. Can't wait to see sono flex on the C8. Thanks Tobii!

### 5/5 — Great!!

It's great my son loved it!!

### 5/5 — Wonderful!

*2011-10-07*

This app is reflective of excellent research by a world renowned company called Tobii ATI. It is very user-friendly and is color coded according to the Fitzgerald Key, which is also world-renowned in the field of AAC. This app features five Acapela voices, which are very pleasant to the ear. One can also important photos from the photo folder on one's iOS device in a very easy manner. Well done, Tobii, and thank you for the introductory price on the first day of its debut! Get it today if you can!

### 3/5 — Needs some updating

*2017-02-17*

I like that I can have same content on the Tobii and and iPad. I wish there were the same symbols in both programs. I need to edit the boards to be the same as the Tobii and the first two symbols I edit, there aren't the symbols. I wanted magnetic letters and iPad. Ironic, that there is no symbol for iPad when I'm on an iPad!

### 3/5 — Good, but...

*2015-08-13*

I like most things about this AAC app, including simplicity. However, there are a few things that keep it from being 4-5 stars. First...the voice! The choices are awful...artificial and robotic. The child choices are especially awkward, which surprises me knowing a majority of this app's users are children. Second, there is no way to change the positioning of the context buttons. This is not functional for individuals with limited fine motor control who need frequently used buttons near the bottom or sides. You are able to change position of the word buttons within a context, but only in top to bottom order. This is completely contrary to the written word and speech which flows left to right, not top to bottom. Please consider changing these two big items. Otherwise, not sure it is worth $100 as is.

### 3/5 — Voices

*2014-02-26*

I'm an AAC expert, because I HAVE to be. Cannot figure out how to change the irritating voice it comes with. Could give a higherrating for quickfires if I could. Help.

### 4/5 — Awesome AAC App!

*2018-04-02*

I’m an Autistic person who uses this app when under extreme stress. More importantly, I introduced the lite version to my cousin, who is nonspeaking, Autistic, and has intellectual disability, some months ago, and went ahead and purchased the full version because it’s that great. It’s very intuitive for both of us and through it, he has expressed things he’s never before been able to.

The only complaint I have about this app is that editing pages is tedious and can rearrange things too much if you’re not careful, which impacts motor planning. Otherwise, I love Sono Flex and would recommend it for anyone who needs a relatively-inexpensive AAC solution.

### 4/5 — PLEASE SYNC between devices

*2014-09-20*

Great app! It would really be nice if you could sync between devices. My son has really learned a lot on this app, he has a ipod that is portable, however, we also have an iPad and my iPhone. I would like them all to synch in case depleted battery, broken device etc. I just want to make sure that communication that most people take for granted is there for him when he needs it
Thanks again, I hope to see the update soon

### 4/5 — Good App thanks for fixing voice over

*2012-04-13*

Love this app and thanks for fixing the voice over app. Now onto some heavy duty programming. Hoping to be able to link & layer pages but haven't tried yet.

### 4/5 — on the right track!

*2012-02-16*

I agree with all the positives previous reviewers list, and I agree that the two most important upgrades needed are to the choice of having each key speak as it is selected and an option to turn off editing. The student I am using this app with has already accidentally deleted things and he is not learning as quickly as he could because he can't hear what he has selected until he selects the message window. But thank you for all the work and thought you have put in to developing this app. It will be a very powerful tool with the upgrades.

### 4/5 — Good but could be great with a few tweaks!

*2011-10-14*

Sono flex is well organized and has many great boards for different themes. The quick phrase feature is very handy. It can be easily programmed with additional buttons and has features to choose the part of speech to be added into the Fitzgerald keyboard arrangement.

This app could move to being great if it had the option of speaking as each button is pressed. In the current version, one puts in a phrase by pressing any number of buttons but it does not speak each word while it is entered. it only speaks the completed phrase after touching a separate area. The quick phrase page is the only one to speak an entire phrase immediately when a button is pushed.

### 4/5 — GREAT just needs a couple things

*2011-10-12*

This is well thought out, it would be nice however, to be able to get ahold of an actual person for info, suggestions, etc. I would like to be able to turn off the long press to edit, but don't see a way to do this. Some users will accidentally press too long and will go to edit mode. Would love to be able to have a scanning feature as well.

### 5/5 — Good, but...

*2024-07-02*

There's an AAC app called CoughDrop that recreated your whole menu. I never bought the app, because when I first saw it, the age was 17+. Then after lots of waiting, and AAC with Sono Flex, Proloquo2go, InnerVoice, ChatterBoards, and PixWriter, PixWriter is not an AAC app. So, I decided to make a lemonade stand to make money for LAMP Words for Life, which I will use to do a sight words filter. Wait! I said too much! I should really stop the text immediately. I will hit send in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, it is done.

### 5/5 — AMAZING - but there’s no apostrophe

*2022-10-28*

Love the app. My son has been using for years now - mostly when we don’t have his communication device handy.

The ONLY thing that bothers me is that he needs to use a comma ( , ) in place of an apostrophe ( ‘ ). I tried to add one manually but was unable. Do you think we can get this implemented? I’d greatly appreciate it.

Best,
Tracey

### 5/5 — New update

*2015-11-19*

I want the new update for sono flex add more symbol and new voices

### 5/5 — Julie Vesely

*2013-05-12*

Hi to the makers of this App, it would be nice if you make an update and you have the option to change the pitch of the voice, also have a much slower option when you scroll from page to page

### 5/5 — Ms

*2012-05-08*

Excellent augmentative communication app. My only criticism is that it is difficult to edit and customize pages. It would be really nice if
items on each page could be easily added, deleted or moved right on the page instead of going to a different menu and editing. Touching the icon and being able to move it around the page would be an awesome addition.
The students I have used this app with like it.

### 5/5 — Great AAC app!

*2012-01-11*

I am the mother of a special needs 3 year old with neurofibromatosis, apraxia of speech and suspected aspberger's. He is mostly non-verbal due. However, after using SonoFlex Lite for a little while, we noticed that he was extremely interested in the app. Unlike other AAC apps that we tried, this one held his interests. Now that we have the full version, he's actually been communicating with us. It's only his name and age right now, but it's more than we ever though we'd get. SonoFlex is so easy to use, and the ability to change the expressions to use familiar pictures is amazing. Thanks!

### 5/5 — liked very much

*2011-11-03*

Love the color coding the large amount of pre made boards- would like easier editing mode. Also would like a way to make the buttons speak immediately when you tap them- the message window is a bit much for some of my students

### 5/5 — Wow! We love this AAC app!

*2011-10-29*

I am the mom of a child with high functioning autism. My son suffers from anxiety, and often will not or cannot tell us what is wrong. This is helping us figure out what is wrong. I am also a speech pathology assistant and have tested out many communication apps. Sono Flex has a spot on our front page because it is excellent. It has a handy manual which made it easy for me to program too, which is very important to me. The color coding is fantastic, the voices are easy to understand! The history tab is wonderful! I would love to see a qwerty board though, as that is what my son is used to for typing. This app is right up there with the big price tag AAC apps like Proloquo2Go. As a mom and an educator, I am VERY happy to see a high quality communication app at $99. Please keep it this way to help give voices to more children and adults who need help communicating.

### 5/5 — At last - content in an AAC app

*2011-10-11*

Finally, an AAC app with a real strategy for communication. Sentence building, change verbs or adjectives, message history! Great stuff

### 5/5 — Great app

*2011-10-10*

It's really great, I'd like the to be able to delete history and it would be awesome if you also can do TV out!
