I purchased the software because it not only looks better but is also more user-friendly and intuitively designed. It responds quickly, runs absolutely stable, and is impressive in every way. The excellent customer service completes the package. For anyone using Sonos, I can highly recommend it without reservation! ### 2/5 — Widget artwork display issues *2024-10-27* I just bought this app to be able to control my Sonos system from a widget on my iPad. It sorts of work but I am quite disappointed: 1/ widget is very buggy, everytime I interact with it (click anywhere), the sonos favorite artwork is reshuffled. 2/There are only three buttons that can be customized and most of the remaining space is occupied with the always moving artwork 3/ the buttons are vey small, smaller than the album artworks that I am not very interested in. 4/ the icon symbols are not very beautiful. I think developers have a good basis for a great app but it needs work currently to solve issues and improve those points mentioned above. Until they improve it, I would not recommend purchasing it. ### 2/5 — iOS 18 problems *2024-10-08, version 2.3.4* Now playing and widgets are not working for me on iOS 18. You need more than three for all functions though, why limit it? ### 3/5 — Nett, aber mit Potenzial nach oben *2024-09-18, version 2.3.4* Ich musste von der sono+today umsteigen, weil diese mit iOS 18 nicht mehr funktioniert. Ich nutze diese App hauptsächlich, um beim TV Audio den Night Modus und die Sprach Verbesserung ein und auszuschalten und laut und leise zu machen. Hier ist schon der erste Mangel der neuen App: ich kann nur drei Buttons in das Widget legen, bräuchte aber mindestens vier. Die Funktion mit einer Wunsch-Lautstärke finde ich auch toll. Dafür wäre dann ein fünfter Button im Widget nötig. Schade ist auch, dass man in dieser App hier nicht im Widget sehen kann, ob der Nachtmodus aktiv oder inaktiv ist. Gleiches gilt für die Sprachverbesserung. Es wäre toll, wenn im Widget hinterlegt wird (farbig oder per Abdunkelung) ob der Modus aktiv oder nicht aktiv ist. Je mets quatre étoiles, je trouve les widgets plutôt bien faits et pratiques , manque cependant un bouton ou une possibilité de bouton permettant de rejoindre la fonction recherche dans Sonos et un deuxième bouton permettant de choisir le lieu d’écoute ayant personnellement deux installations sonos dans deux lieux différents . Clicking on the inline widget takes me be back to the app as expected. However ingressing into the app this way selects Houselhold 1, even though I use Household 2. If you’re in the same position like me you should inquire for a refund. ### 1/5 — Totally changed *2021-12-13, version 2.1.2* I bought this as a way to quickly group and ungroup rooms without opening a full screen app. I got a new phone and the UI is now different and less intuitive/convenient for me. After digging into the app it seems the developer created a new paid app that does what I previously paid for. This is unfair, if the functionality is being phased out make a new app, but don’t swap apps and make me pay twice! 😾 ### 1/5 — Went from 5 stars to 1 star overnight *2021-07-13, version 2.0.2* The most useful feature of the widget is gone overnight, volume control. This was the only reason I downloaded this, I could swipe over to my widgets and immediately adjust room volume. Now, it’s just launching a favorite. The new 2.0 release replaced the useful old style widget with a new style widget that only launches favorites, AND did not update the help or announce this so I spent a bunch of time scratching my head and playing with settings trying to figure out why the documented thing that used to work does not work. Bring back the old widget please. Update: old widget is still there after device reboot. This is the case documented in the help, but the help didn’t make it clear to me that “unable to load” meant the widget is entirely and silently missing from the list of widgets to add, as opposed to the widget is added but doesn’t show up on the today screen or shows up with an error. Even after reading the help carefully I had no idea this was describing the state I was in. Dropped speakers, long delays in the app (even after “improvements”) and buggy software. Hardwiring into the router didn’t help. All of which led me to Reddit, which led me to Sono+. It makes using Sonos a joy. I had forgotten what it was like to have lightning fast functionality. And perhaps best of all is that the developer is incredibly passionate and responsive. All feedback I’ve provided has been followed-up with thoughtful responses. A great experience in all regards.
