I am a TOTAL skeptic for most health “miracle” devices, but…after two weeks on using twice a day my sinuses are clear and I can breathe through my nose. It does not eliminate my allergies, but does prevent accumulation in my sinuses. It tells me to verify my email before resetting my password, and basically puts me in an infinite loop. It used to be so good. ### 1/5 — App not the product *2026-04-03, version 1.4.0* Remember ratings here are for apps not products. Product is awesome. I stopped using nasal sprays. App has a lot to be desired. Specifically when two people are sharing one. The Bluetooth driver needs to be able to connect to two devices at the same time. Sometimes I spend more than 10 min connecting and give up. ### 1/5 — Nonfunctional for new users when servers are down *2026-03-26* When I run the app, it says that they are doing server maintenance and I can use the app in offline mode, but there’s nothing I can do at that point. This is a really terrible out-of-the-box experience for new users, and leads to serious questions about whether this hardware, which has no obvious reason for needing any sort of server connection could become e-waste if the company goes under or has server outages, etc. Maybe this is only a problem for new users, but that’s still really bad, because it means if you delete the app, you’re at the mercy of the servers being operational if you want to get up and running. This also appears to violate 5.1.1(v) of the iOS App Store review guidelines, so this is not a small concern. It needs to be fixed ASAP, and Apple should refuse to approve updates until such time as the app’s offline mode works without logging in or creating an account first. **Developer response:** Sorry to hear about your experience. Some features, including personalized therapy based on the facial scan, require a connection to our cloud services. However, SONU treatment itself remains fully available and can be completed in offline or airplane mode. We take reliability and App Store compliance seriously and have not experienced any service outages that would prevent treatment. The temporary offline mode you experienced was related to a major backend update. This has only occurred once, for a few hours, as we took additional precautions to ensure the update was completed smoothly and reliably. We appreciate your feedback and are always working to make the experience more seamless. ### 1/5 — Tree pollen in January? No. *2026-01-22, version 1.3.3* The information on the forecast is totally off. It forecasts huge amounts of tree pollen in the dead of winter in New York! ### 1/5 — Can't use the product I paid for *2025-12-20, version 1.3.3* Literally cannot use this product without authorizing camera and microphone to surveil you for as long as the app is installed. Also you need to answer extremely invasive personal questionnaire before the app will work. I paid 300$ for this product lol! Beware of this very obvious private equity data mining operation! This is getting disputed with my cc immediately ### 1/5 — Invasion of privacy *2025-01-31, version 1.2.0* I bought this device and I can’t use it because the app requests a phone number. What kind of idiot provides that information to a device app in 2025? This is a total rip off. ### 2/5 — New app is bad *2026-08-15* The Sonu band itself I love and have been using for almost two years. But whoever at Sonu vibe-coded this app clearly skipped massive details. Things that were easily accessible in the previous app are now entirely gone. Core functionality also got buried. I can’t see basic things like battery life; there’s 0 warning about audio being too high; and the alignment check from pre test (to make sure you have it placed well) has been replaced with a manual voice-breath test. Pretty sure that test does nothing anyway. Give me back all of the of the old features, I do not care about my streaks or tracking metrics. **Developer response:** Update - Please update the app to the latest for the audio level indicator. Other improvements are slated for the next update. Thank you for the feedback. The alignment check is available under Account -> My SONU Band -> Band Fit Guide. This guide will show up before treatment as long as you have not opted to skip it permanently. The SONUCheck voice analysis is optional and can be skipped each time (Skip to treatment on top right of the screen) or permanently from the Account preferences section. ### 2/5 — I liked the old version of the app better *2026-08-15, version 2.0* This new version of the app is so much more trouble than the old version. I keep needing to put in a username and password then go back into my iOS setting to reconnect the band. I am spending far too much time messing around with this thing just trying to get it to work. The old app just worked flawlessly every time. ### 2/5 — Loved before the update *2026-08-14* Loved before the app update, now it makes it difficult to use. We are also working to improve the iPad layout and experience. ### 3/5 — Updated App - not so good *2026-08-10* I have used Sonu for over a year and love it - 5 stars for Sonu headband! But I'm not happy with the latest app! I have to log in every time I open the app, before it just opened to me. The app no longer gives me real data for pressure and Air quality conditions. I'm sorry, bar graphs are worthless without real number scales, not words. I used the data to track other health issues - like migraines and it was very helpful when I was discussing it with the doctor. **Developer response:** Hello, We love that you love the SONU Band! However, after the most recent app update the cycle no longer ends with a pleasant bell as it used to. Instead, the app locks every time. Please update your app and it should be there by default. ### 5/5 — Revolutionary product for better breathing *2026-01-31* For the past 16 years in my medical practice, my soul focus has been helping people breathe and sleep better. I myself I have struggled my entire life with chronic allergies and sinus problems with reoccurring infections, leading to bronchitis and at times pneumonia. This product is by far the most revolutionary technology have ever seen to help people breathe better through their nose by decongesting their sinuses without any medication. My patients love it as much as I do and I highly recommend you give it a try. My recommendation is one per household as multiple people can use one product! Our best defense for immunity is nasal breathing, and the using the SONU band twice a day 15 minutes in the morning and 15 minutes at night is the best way to achieve this.
