This would help enormously with planning and when in places where the packaging isn’t always present. Warum werden die Produkte nicht über Barcode Scanner ermittelt? Das Scannen ist sehr ungenau, da Plastikverpackungen verwackelt können. Scanned the ingredients for pesto sauce. Couldn’t find the nuts until the fourth tin it scanned. Took several attempts. Which a surprising because it usually catches it on the first scan. I wish it would use the macro lens. Everything is just too small on the normal lens when trying to scan super tiny text on a package. ### 3/5 — Super. Aber anpassen bitte an neues iPhone *2024-08-03* Ich liebe diese App! Sie kann selbst kleinste Schrift lesen und funktioniert soweit gut. Erst nachdem ich mir jetzt ein neues iPhone gekauft habe, hat sie ein Problem mit dem fokussieren. Das neue iPhone hat ja irgendwie einen Makro ein automatisches. Das wird von der App leider noch nicht unterstützt. Vielleicht passiert da noch was. Is this app still in active development? ### 4/5 — Unfortunately It Did Not Work *2024-04-09* But I don’t want to give less stars: maybe this is a new app, I see lots of potential. ### 3/5 — Gets the general job done but not 100% accurate *2023-11-19* It’s pretty good at detecting the main ingredient however some products that have gluten free alternatives like almond flour, it will flag it as not gluten free because it says “flour” and not include the almond part. I m going to keep trying. ### 1/5 — bad *2023-03-13* i hate this app, only lets you put 3 foods that you can’t eat before it makes you pay, i do NOT recommend it ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Works with ANY ingredients list - life changing!! *2024-12-17* This app scans the actual ingredients list on the package you are holding, so you don’t have to hope that the information in a database matches the current ingredients- and you don’t have to hope that the item you want to check is included in the database in the first place. For those of us who have a nightshade allergy, which isn’t recognized by most manufacturers (yet), being able to make your own list of ingredients to look for is incredibly helpful. You wouldn’t believe how many items include potato flour or starch, or paprika (which, I swear, is in just about everything.) I’ve paid for a supporter version, because it’s affordable and also because this app has made grocery shopping so much easier and faster ### 5/5 — Amazing App *2024-11-02* I use this app almost every grocery trip and have for years. I recommend it all the time. It is accurate and makes my life so much easier. So glad it exists. Very useful and you can add in your own keywords to scan for as well. **Developer response:** Sorry to hear you have food allergies, but really happy to hear Soosee can help you not to stay TOO long in the store to check ingredient lists. The scanner doesn’t give a clear picture with the latest iPhone (it did on my older one) but nevertheless it still seems to work. But, in some cases where (to stick to the example) the word "farine" wouldn’t be present on the nutrition label, while "blé" does, the scanner won’t pick it up (although it’s listed under the gluten category).
