### 2/5 — Disappointing to see HP problem isn't fixed.

*2011-11-28, version 1.35*

Just downloaded this game to my new phone hoping that the HO issue would be fixed, but it isn't.

In the Wizardry game, characters didn't start getting 1-2 HP per level until at least level 10. Lower level characters gained HP in bigger increments - especially characters with high vitality scores. Fighters, samurai and lords could easily get 10+ per level. Without that, most characters wouldn't be able to survive fighting monsters with spells or breath attacks.

Please fix! Sorcerer used to do the HP gains more in line with Wizardy. It'd be great to play the game again.

### 4/5 — Nice port...

*2011-07-09, version 1.33*

Shaking the phone for rolling bonus during char creation is a pita though....and such a variation: low 5-9 to decent 18-19 after a few shakes to good 25-28 after hundred shakes and one time so far it came up with a whopping +37! Enough for a Knight right off the bat..
"The minimum statistic scores required to qualify for each of the classes is as follows:
    Fighters need 11 strengths.
    Wizards need 11 I.Q.
Priests need 11 piety and may not be of neutral alignment.
Thieves need 11 agility and may not be good.
Bishops need 12 I.Q. and 12 piety and may not be neutral.
Samurai need 15 strength, 11 I.Q., 10 piety, 14 vitality, and 10 agility and must not be evil.
Knight need 15 strength, 12 I.Q., 12 piety, 15 vitality, 14 agility and 15 luck. They must be good.
Ninjas need 17 in all their statistics, and can only be evil. "

### 5/5 — Wizardry is so fun

*2011-06-21, version 1.33*

Thanks for porting over Wizardry: Proving Grounds of the Mad Overlord to my ipod! I remembered this game so well, because it was the first game my dad and I actually finished. I really appreciate changing all of the priest and wizard spell names (because in the original I needed the manual to remember which spell did what). The game is fun and challenging as I remember it. Now back to re-rolling my character stats!

Edit: Please release Sorcerer #3 in the USA! I see it the Japanese store, but I can't download it.

### 5/5 — The original RPG

*2011-05-05, version 1.33*

A thorough outing into the history of the videoed RPG.

Check the "Sorcerer #1" entry in the Settings app in order to change the text speed and activate Easy Mode.

### 5/5 — Love it...

*2011-04-09, version 1.33*

If you are a fan of the original Wizardry, then this is the game for you because, well... It's pretty much the same game. One of my favorite games. I can't wait till they release the third installment.

### 5/5 — If you get stuck

*2011-01-20, version 1.32*

If you can't figure out how to fight monsters enter dugen then ask to leave then click no from a addic to this game

### 5/5 — A nostalgic trip through RPG Hell

*2011-01-04, version 1.32*

It's brutal. You'll die. You'll die often.

But...this game is beautiful if you loved the Wizardry series as much as I did. I know the developer has made Sorcerer 3 for the Japanese app store, but I really hope he releases Sorcerer 3 in the American store as well.

I would have paid for this app, but it was free so it's even better.

### 4/5 — A lot of fun for RPG lovers!

*2010-11-15, version 0*

One thing... HOW DO U BECOME A NINJA?? I want that so bad! There aren't enough hints in the manual. Anyone know? Please post.

### 4/5 — Solid conversion, needs some updating.

*2010-11-12, version 0*

I played the hell out of the original Wizardry, and as someone else pointed out, this port is just as fun AND just as frustrating as that game.

The documentation needs cleanup (references are still made to "arrow keys"), and the interface could be cleaner, but overall I enjoy it - and the price is right.

And for those interested: IF the Ninja class conforms to the original game, you need a 17 in ALL ability scores and must be Evil to qualify, but I have not confirmed this.

### 5/5 — 1987 all over again

*2010-07-21, version 0*

I can understand the low ratings, but as somebody that poured hours into huddling with a friend over a monochrome monitor playing Wizardry, this totally rules. Probably the demographic here is for age 31+ to have had the right childhood to appreciate this.

### 5/5 — nostalgie quand tu nous tiens

*2010-07-01, version 0*

### 5/5 — nothing to complain about

*2010-03-06, version 0*

brilliant idea to combine wizardy with the intellivision game ad&d treasures of tarmin.5/5 guys make more games!:D

I would pay for this.

### 5/5 — No title for you

*2010-02-20, version 0*

Very addicting. This is by far my favorite app :D I finaly got the amulet with a reset count of 428!!!

### 2/5 — Promising but flawed

*2010-01-04*

Similar to the old Bards Tale games but rather lacking in graphics. Becomes very difficult several levels in which is made worse by characters (and all your effort!) having a chance of being perminantly lost each time they die.

More play testing by developers reccommended.

### 5/5 — Great Clone

*2009-11-12, version 0*

Love it Can't wait to play #5 Hope you release that one (my favorite old school wizardry)

And to me the hit point generation is spot on with the original. Yes, many times you will only get 1 point. But it always seems to average out so that most level 10 fighters have 40-60 hp, keep playing, you'll see-sometimes you can get 25+ a level,

Also, for people who never played original. Attacking/Not attacking friendlys will change your alignment.

### 4/5 — Classic Bards Tale/Wizardry RPG!

*2009-10-07, version 0*

I love this game. Its a little hard to get your characters to a level you feel safe wandering around with, but man what fun! Also, you cant beat the price!

### 5/5 — Fun

*2009-10-07, version 0*

Wow, realy fun game

### 4/5 — Old school goodness

*2009-09-15, version 0*

I have played this like mad. I once bought an Apple IIe to play its forefathers. Thanks a lot for this. The Map changes make it interesting. Damn coins. :p

### 1/5 — Game just isn't what it should be

*2012-07-26, version 1.36*

I'm tired of the problems with this. It is a great throwback to games like Wizardry but in the end it has too many bugs. The iCkoud backups don't work. In wiZardry days I would always have a day to day floppy backup in case I wiped which is what the iCloud backup is supposed to do and doesn't. Wiz had some built in cheats for people who had wiped their party for the 40th time, this doesn't. And after nearly 26 revisions on this game the %}}ing random number generator still isn't fixed resulting in 1 HP gain > 50% of the time. I just can't say this game is worth it anymore. By now the maker should have fixed these problems. I'm done with Sorcerer and you should be too.

### 1/5 — Zzzzzzzzzzz

*2012-06-25, version 1.36*

Boring

### 1/5 — QADR says

*2009-07-11, version 0*

Pros
====
Trip down memory lane for Wizardry fans.

Cons
====
Buggy interface
Crashes
No save

I'd wait before trying this game.

### 1/5 — Confusing

*2009-06-02, version 0*

No player help in the game. Tried making a few charecters and ended up with none of them and couldnt make anymore.

### 1/5 — It's ok

*2009-05-29, version 0*

I personally want an RPG with the final fantasy7 battle system

### 1/5 — I need help.............

*2009-05-20, version 0*

After I pick my points, then what? It just stays there like some dead animal....

### 1/5 — Good nostalgia, tedious gaming

*2009-04-21, version 0*

I grew up in an era of computer gaming that should have prepared me for this game. It's the same as any old, old school rpg. This makes it pretty difficult to stay alive. I was willing to stick with it for a while, but the lack of automap made it too confusing. When I am gaming on my iPhone, I often don't have my cartography tools nearby. After I stumbled into a teleporter or trick door or something and got destroyed for the umpteenth time, I decided to retire this app. All the fun of an old school rpg, and all of the awful too.

### 1/5 — Weak

*2009-04-14, version 0*

Impossible and completely pointless.

### 1/5 — Doesn't work

*2009-04-10, version 0*

I can't get past the stats screen there is no button or if I touch any space nothin happens

### 1/5 — Vb

*2009-02-22, version 0*

### 5/5 — Perfect Wizardry clone...

*2019-09-10, version 1.42*

I remember first seeing Wizardry 1 on my friend’s Apple II computer back in the late 70s, and to this day it remains one of my all-time favorite games. I have wanted to re-play it since, and especially on my iPhone/iPad. I’ve been looking for the original, classic Wizardry but it does not exist.

This game is a fantastic clone - the floors are different but so far the gameplay is identical and I believe the monsters are as well.

Looking forward to getting into the depths here...

### 5/5 — Pour les nostalgiques de l’apple IIe

*2018-12-20, version 1.42*

### 5/5 — Great game

*2017-07-31, version 1.42*

Love this game. Worth a try. Classic perma-death game.

### 5/5 — Awesome App

*2016-04-05, version 1.36*

Awesome app! I'm in the US and I can't download Sorceror #3 :(

### 5/5 — Love old school

*2013-04-22, version 1.36*

This brings back memories. For thoes having trouble it's not a game to be finished in a day short Ventures first! Get characters up lvl graph paper a map. Aww too bad you have to use pencil and paper, so you don't get lost.
Great stuff love it

### 5/5 — THANK YOU!!

*2012-05-08, version 1.36*

I'm so excited someone ported these games! I've been scouring the app store for months for games similar to wizardry and just found these. I would of paid for them but they are even free!! Plz do 6, 7, and 8 and I know I would pay well for them as well as friends of mine. You truly deserve to be rewarded for your effort and consideration to people in USA that can never seem to get games similar to wizardry translated or ported over to new technology. Again, thank you!!

### 5/5 — You don't get it

*2012-04-05, version 1.36*

Everyone who is down rating this game doesn't fully understand it. I've read them all and the stuff ur complaining about is what makes the game a challenge. THIS GAME IS GREAT

### 5/5 — Das alte Feeling ist wieder da

*2012-01-08, version 1.36*

### 5/5 — Love it

*2011-11-03, version 1.34*

Great crawler

### 5/5 — Sorcellerie : le Donjon du Suzerain Hérétique

*2011-07-27, version 1.33*

Bravo ! Et merci pour ce revival !
