### 2/5 — iPhone Sortd app is garbage

*2024-06-13, version 2.2.2*

For some reason the app only allows me to see the first few cards in the list.
As a paying customer I reached out to support and heard nothing back.

### 2/5 — Still not stable

*2018-08-15*

This app worked for a few days than just got hung up trying to load the lists. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Once I logged into my gmail the app looped back, asking me to pick a gmail account to use. I did that and it looped back over and over again. Argh.

I am sure they will fix this sooner or later.

### 2/5 — Not working anymore

*2018-08-13, version 1.1.21*

Won't load the lists so deleted and reinstalled... Now it just jumps between loading the lists and Google sign in :(

### 2/5 — Not even a beta app

*2017-09-27*

It’s one thing that you can’t read mail (without going to the gmail app) or send mail from the app (I understand Sortd is a Kanban tool, not a full fledged mail app), it’s another thing that you can’t do basic things like drag an item to another list, or mark things as done without opening the item first.

The desktop Chrome extension still has rough edges. If the dev doesn’t have the resource to develop this app, perhaps remove this app first and not get distracted?

### 2/5 — Love the desktop app; the iOS app? Not so much.

*2017-03-11*

Talk about a let down. The desktop app is really a thing of wonder in some ways. Like Tweetdeck for email!

This app is...not even usable, really. It's too bad, because the potential is there. But the reality is this is nothing like the desktop app, and it's not even a useful task tracker.

Please rethink this or get rid of it. It will hurt your brand more than help. :(

### 2/5 — No landscape on iPad

*2016-04-01*

Ugh, I would probably love this on my iPad if it supported landscape orientation. How do you not support landscape orientation?

### 1/5 — Okta support needed

*2016-03-15*

I use the desktop version for work, but unfortunately cannot get in due to the lack of okta support. Once authentication is fixed, I'll give it a go again.

### 3/5 — Wish it worked with SSO / Okta corp Google Apps account

*2016-03-14*

SSO auto using Okta doesn't work- won't allow the redirect from the Google login to the Okta login before redirecting back to gmail. Otherwise, on the desktop, I love Sortd. When this login issue on iOS is resolved, it will be even better! :)

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Bomb. Does literally nothing.

*2020-07-13*

This app was updated 6d ago so I know it is intended to be current and functional. But there are precious few features, almost nothing loads, what sparse features there are don’t function as expected. Bad news bears. Disappointing, since Sortd on the desktop can be so useful.

### 1/5 — Needs Work

*2020-06-18*

I’m liking the desktop version; however, the app seems pointless.

### 1/5 — Can’t even log in

*2020-03-23*

One of the reasons we even went with Sortd was because it had a limited but functioning mobile app. Now we can’t even log in.

### 1/5 — Not ready for prime time

*2019-03-20*

The Sortd add-on for Chrome is genuinely good sruff that I use and greatly benefit from. But this app is not good at all. Since it isn't truly linked to gmail, it's not useful at all. I look forward to it becoming more like the Chrome add-on.

### 1/5 — What is it supposed to do ?

*2019-01-04, version 1.1.21*

Not sure how it’s working if it does it’s not as intuitive as expected
I am deleting it

### 1/5 — Doesn't work

*2018-02-19*

Open my gmail in Google's Chrome browser, and Sortd is there! Download the app and sign in to my Gmail account, and nothing. Absolutely nothing. #majorfail.

### 1/5 — Give your rights away for...?

*2017-12-05*

So you give this app all the rights to have access to read, write etc from YOUR email address and it is NOT FUNCTIONAL at all. I downloaded this to hopefully sort my email by ‘from’ and all I could see in this list was an empty ‘TO DO’ list. So I have rights to my stuff for nothing. Deleted and won’t entertain again. Just need a more functional mailbox than google.

### 1/5 — All I get is a white screen

*2017-04-21, version 1.1.14*

Really hoped the iPad app would work. Love this on my laptop.

### 1/5 — Can't sign in

*2016-04-12, version 1.0.9*

Does not work with Okta

### 1/5 — No support for Okta

*2016-03-26*

I use the desktop app and like it quite a bit. I was anticipating release of the mobile app, but womp womp, it doesn't support Okta.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Exactly what I was hoping for

*2026-07-27*

I’ve been using the Sortd desktop all for years, so I was really looking forward to the new mobile app, it hasn’t disappointed. It feels fast, clean and makes it much easier to stay on top of my work when I am away from my computer. I like that I can quickly check my emails, boards and lists, update tasks, add notes and reorder priorities without having to wait until I’m back at my desk. It is now a full email app that incorporated emails and tasks in one workspaces. It also works really well alongside Gmail’s mobile app and the desktop version, so I know where everything stands. It has become part of my daily workflow and has made keeping organized on the go much easier. Great job to the team!

### 5/5 — Nice app, but excited for more

*2023-02-03*

Liking the the new Sortd app for desktop, it works really well with the New Gmail look!

This app works nice, but truely is a task-list companion to the desktop version. I would be interested to see how free the Sortd app could substitute the Freahdesk app in the future

### 5/5 — WOW!

*2021-02-24, version 1.8.1*

This product is underrated far beyond where it should be. It’s fantastic. No need for separate apps like Asana, Slack, Monday.com, or ClickUp. This plugin just installs and adds an overlay that allows you to create and share organization boards, prioritize and rank emails and issues, communicate with your team in a shared space RIGHT FROM WITHIN GMAIL. It also tracks email views and will let your know when someone had opened an email. The price is so reasonable too. And your can installed domain wide for teams or individually. I’m loving it. In the first day I was able to sort, organize, prioritize, color-code, and set up reminders, which allowed me to clear out my inbox to above-the-fold for the first time in a year. If you’re looking for a great team or project management communication tool, or just looking for something to help you better organize your email in-box and you don’t want to spend an arm and a leg, or invest in a separate solution you have to use outside of email, you should definitely check out Sortd. They have a 14-day trial.

### 5/5 — Mobile app: ok. Desktop app: genius

*2019-08-11, version 1.1.25*

Don’t get fooled by the elementary features on the mobile app. It’s actually more of a “companion app”. The gmail extension is pure gold.

### 4/5 — Issues Addressed

*2021-11-04*

As long time Cloze, Click-up, GTasks, and Task Board user Sortd has created a slick one-stop platform with great utility value. Prior reliability and inconsistencies seem to be addressed. Conceptually it’s a great approach, getting the execution perfected will be the key to long time usability and value.
Definitely worth a try, much richer feature set on the PC.

### 4/5 — Great app, only one problem.

*2018-03-15*

I have been using this app for a few days and it is very intuitive and works well for my office. The only problem I see is the location of the complete, delete and archive buttons. Being at the bottom of the screen it is too easy to hit accidentally.

### 4/5 — SOOO much potential!

*2016-03-16*

SUPER excited about this app. If it can retain its current function and also introduce basic email functions and gestural swipes for things like move, delete, etc, this app will be a permanent addition to my dock. Can't imagine life without Sortd on desktop, and hopefully they get this up to par too.

### 3/5 — Works well w chrome desktop extension not on iPhone app

*2020-04-08*

I like the extension on my desktop, it helps me stay organized and productive.

My review on the app it’s that is limited.

Dev team - This is what I would like to make it user friendly:

1. Ability to add emails to personal board to work on later. I am only able to do this on desktop.

2. On the desktop I am able to read my email and through Sortd. This saves time and helps my stay organized and on track for the the things that really matter.

I will be keeping an eye out for positive updates, for now I will be uninstalling the app since at this time is not fulfilling the purpose of being installed on the first place.

Thanks!

### 3/5 — Good not great

*2017-09-25*

There does not seem to be a fluid integration with the iPhone app and the Gmail Inbox - room for improvement

### 3/5 — Doesn't work with Okta

*2016-03-15*

My employer uses Okta for single sign on, and the app behaves as though it's tried to signed in and flips the tile back over before I can fill out the Okta login screen. Unfortunately, this makes the app unusable for me.
