### 5/5 — Help with mindfulness

*2022-01-24, version 3.1.10 - Images, Languages*

Such an easy to use app covering a wide range of subjects .
Has helped so much during pandemic to keep a feeling of positivity and aided relaxation when not working .

### 5/5 — Feeling Good App

*2022-01-01, version 3.1.0*

I rely on this app now - to manage anxiety but also to help me sleep. I did struggle with both the voices as they use a peculiar tone but have got used to them now. I really like the fact that the tracks are different lengths and that I can choose the background sound. I’d really recommend Feeling Good for anyone with anxiety.

### 5/5 — Helps me when I feel myself slipping

*2021-11-11, version 3.0.70*

I started using this app earlier this year after putting off trying something like this but my time wasn’t wasted. I have suffered with depression for years and find this gives me something to reach out and hold onto when I feel myself slipping.

### 5/5 — Highly recommend

*2021-05-28, version 2.8.5*

Great app, which is extremely helpful. I particularly like the nature sounds and ability to change background noice and also the voice of the narrator. Really helpful in learning to deeply relax and have a positive mindset.

### 5/5 — Excellent, very useful

*2020-11-02, version 2.7.4*

I have used this app for a few years now and it’s a real ‘go to’ when I need reminding to stress less and think positively about myself.
I recommend it wholeheartedly!

### 5/5 — Relaxing, calming and positive

*2020-10-06, version 2.7.4*

It is worth persevering with this app if it doesn’t come naturally to you to relax as if you just go with it and listen to Sheila’s voice and listen in the order suggested, I have found that I look forward to my ‘meditation’ time for calm and positive thoughts and come away feeling refreshed every time.

### 3/5 — I preferred the old look

*2020-10-06, version 2.7.4*

I found this quite helpful but I preferred the old look and the ability to use it in horizontal mode. Also some of the recordings sound a little different and I can't pinpoint why. The questionnaire popup was a annoying.

The old look felt more positive and friendly to me. and I appreciate being able to use it horizontally.

### 3/5 — Has distracting background music

*2020-06-07, version 1.3.5*

This app looks great and has the promise of being really helpful.

However after only listening to one or two of the free tracks you discover there is a really distracting guitar soundtrack being played in the background at the same volume as the speaker so it is impossible to concentrate on what the speaker is saying.

There doesn’t seem to be any way of lowering the volume of the backing track which is a real shame as this app looks like it could be really helpful.

Hopefully there will be an update. Until then I can’t use this sorry.

### 3/5 — Great help but expensive

*2020-03-21, version 1.3.5*

I found this app really helpful with my depression and inability to switch my brain off at night, with this app I was able to sleep again.

Then I saw the download prices of the further models and boom my depression was back!

Great app and it works but why are the downloads so expensive...?

### 5/5 — Great app, helped a lot

*2020-03-05, version 1.3.5*

Used this app, helped me. Hopefully helps other people!

### 5/5 — Recommend

*2020-02-27, version 1.3.5*

I was recommended this by my mental health nurse, I don’t socialize at all I’m out of touch with everyone since doing this I’ve went out once so I’m going to carry on with hope

### 1/5 — Crashing

*2025-08-10, version 4.0.12*

Unfortunately the app keeps crashing after I lock my phone? And I can then no longer open it anymore, I have to uninstall then reinstall. But then it just breaks again which is unfortunate as I was looking forward to using this app

### 1/5 — Updated App

*2025-07-20, version 4.0.12*

Since the recent update it keeps crashing. I delete and reinstall. Come out of the app to go back in and it crashes again and won’t reopen.

Before the update, I used this nightly and when I needed to re-centre myself when things were tough around me.

Really missing my nightly relax, hoping it fixes really soon, so I can do a 5⭐️ review

### 1/5 — Shocked and appalled

*2022-05-05*

I thought I was buying this app because it was Dr Burns work. Dr. Burns did not approve of this whatsoever and because she use the name his book I thought that this was his app I don’t think I’ll get my money back talk about bait and switch I don’t use the app and protest that this work was copied. Again capitalism at its finest. I’ll wait for the REAL Dr Burns brilliant work. Shame on you. 2 stars.

### 1/5 — Total waste of time

*2021-02-26, version 2.8.5*

It’s basically a series of tracks to listen to. But only the first track is free, after that you choose a track and....it’s £11 to play! What a joke! Even the track that is free is pretty rubbish, the guy sounds like he’s stoned! The woman’s voice is better, just. There are much better apps out there, lots of them. Don’t bother with this one.

### 1/5 — Patronising

*2020-10-14, version 2.7.4*

I find the ‘cute bear’ and gross colours on the update so sickening that I have stopped using the app.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work in the background

*2020-09-18, version 1.3.7*

The track stops when my phone falls asleep - i.e. when I’m listening and not scrolling away! Pointless. Got access free via NHS and workplace, but I def would not pay for something that isn’t fit for purpose.

### 1/5 — Aaargh that woman’s voice

*2020-02-12, version 1.3.5*

Patronising tone but also so very very dull. I wanted to try this but can’t with that voice. Made my mental health worse, thought that this app that was gonna help but actually has seriously wound me up.

### 1/5 — Cola01IK

*2020-02-08, version 1.3.5*

Annoyed me more anything! Waste of my time. Irritating voice.

### 1/5 — Very poor

*2019-12-02, version 1.3.5*

The fact that the NHS prescribe this is a joke. The music is intrusive and depressing, the content is terrible and the delivery is really disconnected and not at all relaxing. Very loosely based on CBT but this is inferior to free content on other apps and it’s really terrible that the NHS have invested in this for patients. We deserve better than this.

### 2/5 — Cannot relax

*2020-10-13, version 2.7.4*

I am regretting paying fir this up! I find it hard to relax when I listen to it. The narrators sound drunk instead of soothing

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — The best

*2025-12-10, version 4.0.12*

This app is amazing, I recommend it to anyone struggling with mental health problems. I’ve had depression for years and looked into all kinds of different apps to help me. Since making this purchase, I’ve never once regretted it. My mental health has improved and I love the range of different tracks you can listen to. I also love the fact there is a recommended section for when you fancy something different. 10/10, it’s so much better than those apps with an extortionate yearly/ monthly subscription. Only downside is that I have to play a track for 10 seconds before locking my phone otherwise it skips to a random point - but I still consider it 5 stars

### 5/5 — Really helpful

*2025-04-11, version 3.10.1*

This app really helped me to move through a period of severe anxiety and depression. It enabled me to relax for the first time in forever and gave me practical tools to help bring me out of negative thought spirals. I can’t recommend this app highly enough!

### 5/5 — Definitely works

*2025-01-03, version 3.10.1*

During the first tracks which you repeat, I found I either fell into a deep sleep/hypnosis trance, and my body started doing the shaking that it does during trauma release exercises. Really effective versus traditional meditations, as you are guided to a relaxed place. I have a lot of trust in this app to be my guide and a tool to improve my stress levels.

### 5/5 — Seems to Work in the Background

*2024-07-24*

Though there isn’t really any practical advice on the tracks, something seems to work on a subconscious level. I’m not so sure about the choice of music; eg, on one of the tracks, we are asked to create a safe, quiet place in our minds, then PLUCK the guitar intrudes. I’m going to stick with this and see how it pans out.
Update: the developers must have taken note of some of the negative reviews. It is much better now with the choice of piano or bird song and reader.
Update 2: on reusing this app, I’ve noticed that there is another choice of voice to listen to and extra tracks. I have edited my review to 5 stars!

**Developer response:** Hi, thanks for your review with the update, and so glad that you like the new features in the app, with choice of music and reader. We are listening!

### 5/5 — Monthly snippets.

*2023-11-12, version 3.6.41*

Thank you for the October and November updates. I really enjoy them all
Brilliant App. Thank you Alastair and Shiela.

### 5/5 — Lotus Lifting Spiritual Movement

*2023-06-27, version 3.6.41*

As a fully mindful practitioner this app isn't just helping myself through at a tough time it's helping my friends and clients theough sharing.

For myself it is transformational a hit of rapid zen, it is like an instant relief to any form of overwhelment or unease in these busy times by just following simple audioble instructions.

Such a great life tool.

### 5/5 — Helpful

*2023-05-24, version 3.6.41*

Very good designed and easy app

### 5/5 — Feeling even better…

*2022-12-06, version 3.5.72*

I was an early adopter of this great programme following exposure at the City Health Conference RCGP 2013… have recommended to colleagues and patients often and return to it often.

Great to learn that the healthy eating module is getting an update….it’s the only thing that ever helps me to sustain weight loss …..

Given its debt to Team GB Olympic coaching style it would be good to see programmes to support a more active lifestyle; given the NHS target population support for drinking and drug use signposting to other resources for these would broaden application.

Another embellishment might be to add in that annoying feature that you get in some apps “ are you enjoying Feeling Good “? - or have I missed this in my mindful euphoria? But the absence of intrusive features and advertising on pale imitations like headspace make the few pounds for full access well worth it.

Thanks again.

### 5/5 — The app to use for relaxation and positivity.

*2022-11-02, version 3.5.72*

I was introduced to this app through my job initially but have and still recommend to all friends and family. I use it when I’m struggling with poor sleep or a drop in confidence but should really use it regularly to hopefully prevent these drops!
Fab I’ll keep on recommending!

### 5/5 — Really helpful

*2022-02-21, version 3.1.10 - Images, Languages*

I was introduced to the app through working for the NHS. I have also had the opportunity to try various other apps and online support services but this is probably my favourite. The sessions are a bit longer than those with some other programs, but I have found them very relaxing and they have impacted positively on both my stress levels and general outlook.
