This update makes Sotto use the input names you set on the receiver itself, and fixes the streaming sources on older receivers. • If you renamed an input in your receiver's own setup menu — "PS5" instead of GAME, or "Apple TV" instead of CBL/SAT — Sotto now shows your name for it, in the input picker and on the home screen. It never did before, on any receiver. Names you have set inside Sotto still take priority, and if Sotto cannot reach your receiver it keeps the last names it knew rather than reverting to the factory ones. • On receivers from before 2016, the network sources were being asked for by the wrong name, so Internet Radio, Spotify Connect, your favourites, Last.fm, the music server and Flickr could not be selected. All six now work. Thank you to the owner whose diagnostics snapshot uncovered this: it affected every pre-2016 model, not just theirs. • After an update, Sotto now tells you what changed, and names any receivers it has learned to support. This update fixes a power bug that could silence a room, makes the Sound screen more reliable, and adds proper support for two more receiver models. • Turning the main zone off no longer puts your whole receiver into standby. If someone was listening in Zone 2 or Zone 3, powering off from Sotto used to cut them off without warning. Sotto now switches off the main zone only, and it behaves that way everywhere: in the app, in widgets, in Control Center, through Siri, and inside scenes. • The Sound screen no longer shows an empty list. On receivers that answer Sotto's request but return nothing at all, it now falls back to the receiver's own sound-mode presets instead of drawing a picker with no rows in it. • The receiver's own sound-mode list now appears on more models. Sotto used to decide from its own records whether your receiver offered that list, and on some models the record was a guess that hid a list which actually worked. Sotto now asks your receiver directly. • Sotto recognises two more receivers properly instead of falling back to generic defaults: the Denon AVR-X1600H and AVR-X1000. That takes it from five tuned models to seven. • Receivers Sotto has not seen before now connect more directly when it falls back to your receiver's web interface, instead of trying two ports to find the right one. This update fixes a crash, corrects several wrong-volume bugs, and adds proper support for three more receiver models. • Fixed a crash. An unexpected reply from another device on your network could crash Sotto roughly once a second the whole time it was connected. If Sotto has been quitting on you, this is why. • On receivers that report through Denon's Web Control, volume levels below 10 were read wrongly (4.5 could show as 45), and the next volume tap then sent the receiver to the wrong level. Both are fixed. • Volume Up and Down in the widget, in Control Center and via Siri no longer step from a stale reading. If you had changed the volume with the receiver's own remote, a single tap could jump the room to a very different level. When Sotto cannot establish the current level, it now says so instead of guessing. • The Sound screen no longer dead-ends on receivers that do not offer Denon's Web Control. It falls back to the receiver's own sound-mode presets instead of showing an error. • Sound modes now show their proper names, for example "Dolby Pro Logic II Movie" instead of the receiver's internal shorthand, and the matching category is highlighted correctly. • Sotto now recognises three more receivers properly instead of falling back to generic defaults: the Denon AVC-X3700H, AVC-S660H and AVR-X4800H. That takes it from two tuned models to five, and Zone 3 is handled correctly on receivers that have it. • Fixed several cases where a control could stay stuck showing what you asked for rather than what the receiver actually did, after a command the receiver never confirmed. • Fixed a tip bought through Ask to Buy not being recorded once it was approved. This update is mostly about scenes behaving exactly as promised. • Scenes now set the volume correctly on every receiver. If your receiver reports its own maximum volume, a scene could ask for a level it would never accept, and the app would report that the receiver "didn't confirm" even though the scene had worked. Scene volume is now matched to what your receiver actually allows, including scenes you saved before this update. • Fixed a bug where closing the Sound or Options screen while it was still loading could drop the connection to your receiver, leaving the controls unresponsive until you reconnected. • Scenes and sound favorites in Siri, Shortcuts and Control Center now only ever apply to the receiver they were made for. With more than one receiver set up, the wrong one could be targeted. • Turning the main zone off at the receiver's front panel is now reflected in the app instead of leaving it looking powered on. • Added a tip jar for anyone who would like to support development.
