However, I have been disappointed in two specific areas—the first is that it repeats the same verses over and over. I don’t understand why, with all of the Bible available to us, why do the developers have to repeat the same 50 verses. Secondly, the thought for the hour seems to be on a glitch—almost as if the verse and thought are on two separate rotations, and the thought frequently has nothing to do with the Scripture. When in the middle of other things, I find this confusing and hard to focus on either the verse or the thought. ### 4/5 — No audio reminder *2023-02-16, version 2.0.4* I like the app but I’m not receiving an hourly audio reminder or badge. But this year its working perfectly fine. Using apple format but wish that the notifications were available during the whole hour to return to often till the next notification. Also find it frustrating that if you don't open the notification in the first minute you can't access more than comes up on the lock screen. However, the typos, small number of messages (I have had a couple repeat already) and poor quality of the settings page (time selector hard to set and only 3 notification sounds) - c'mon guys! I'm definitely going to continue using the app but hope for much improvement soon! At first the notifications didn't work but I just went into the timer settings and set them again a second time. This App is so needed for my regular reminder of keeping in touch with God. The Hallelujah chorus notifier causes some "looks", but that gives me an opportunity to explain & witness! As some others have commented, it would be Great to have a way of "Bookmarking" or flagging an hourly scripture/comment & be able to go back to it & share it with someone else using Texting, Email, etc. Again, Bless you & all who make this App/Program possible. My biggest issue is not being able to view hourly messages that came in while on a phone call or sometimes after I unlock my phone it goes away and am unable to retrieve what I just missed! Also, while on a phone call that 'hallelujah' makes you jump! As others have noted the app alarm is activated but there's no verse displayed - defeats the whole purpose. I've uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times with no success. ### 1/5 — :( *2013-09-13, version 1.0.2* Alarm goes off but no verse how do I fix it ### 1/5 — Doesn't work :( *2013-03-28, version 1.0.2* I get the notification sound but while I'm using a different app, that's all I get, I get no message and nothing shows in my notification center even with it set up to show in my settings. Also when I'm not using any app, it still only plays the sound but displays NO message and nothing in the the drop down notification center either:( hopefully there can be some very necessary improvements made with an update soon because I love the concept and would love to utilize it ### 1/5 — Bugs With the program *2012-10-16, version 1.0.2* I'm really interested in using the program, but it does not work correctly. I changed the notification to "alerts" in the notification center. I hear an alert every hour but do not receive a message anywhere. But after the second day, that feature was gone and I could no longer read the whole verse. Tapping on the app didn't bring it back either. Seeing as this has rendered the app virtually unusable to me, I've given it the rating of 2. I'll happily upgrade that once this bug is fixed. ### 3/5 — Great idea, definitely needs work *2025-03-24, version 2.0.4* I love the idea of focusing on Jesus moment by moment, but it is terribly distracting when there are typos on almost every pop-up. For example: The book of Ohn instead of the book of John The book of Ephesias instead of Ephesians It makes me think you are using AI instead of an actual Bible, which feels very uncomfortable to me. ### 3/5 — Same *2024-04-01, version 2.0.4* Repetitive verses and not staying open pressing to hold for viewing on lock screen. And some disconnect between verse and reflection to connect hourly. Is the developer taking note to keep working and relative. I do not think it’s a coincidence that as a lifelong Christian, I am already experiencing a new height in my bond with Christ. Intention is everything, and I was a bit skeptical about the outcomes, but I am not even a month in and I can tell that I am more alert to the Spirit and just filled with joy in such a noticeable way, throughout the day. This is saying a lot because I downloaded this app right before my husband and I got really tough news, so to be feeling so positive is nothing less than the grace of God! Thank you to the developers. Not only am I thankful for it I’m impressed with the impact it has had on me spiritually. This is a great app for sowing the word of God into your heart and memorizing scripture. I’m thankful that the app works great with my Apple Watch which is really helpful because often times I’m either in a meeting or walking around away from my phone. In having this app over the past few months I have been able to memorize Bible verse! I was having same problem as others on here.... It would notify me but nothing showed up. Pastor at church fixed it for me. In the app itself you need to change the ringer from default on Apple phones and make sure you go to settings and change under notifications from banner to Alert. One last thing.... When it does show up on your phone and you go to see the whole message you MUST swipe your phone within that message or you will not see the whole thing.
