It becomes very hard to progress after a few levels.

I played it for a few months and enjoyed my time with it. It has a darker aesthetic than most games of its type, and also stands out by being a dungeon crawling game with a first person perspective battle system. I recommend it.

It’s a very nice gacha game that doesn’t try to take all your money. The gacha rates are quite reasonable and the pity system is well-defined. My nitpicks with this game is with the dialogue. There are quite a few errors, an example being “unsual” instead of “unusual”, or “akward” instead of “awkward”. There are also slurs used in the dialogue. Personally, this does not bother me, but it definitely can offend some people.

This is a lucky pervert setup. The mechanics seem normal although the travel system is engaging and I would probably be willing to invest some time because of that mechanic and some funny snarky characters…I can’t get over it. It’s a harem game with combat and the main love interest is a subservient nun-type who calls you “your grace”. Nope! If you like that 🤨…I guess this game is for you 😒

Honestly, its the most unique gacha Ive played so far, and Ive played a lot. 
First, the main story is pretty entertained ng. The stages are engaging and youre not left spending your time autoing stages. 
Second, every character feels unique and there hasnt been one that feel overly broken compared to others. Theres a nice balance between them all (for now).
Thats about all I can say thats good about the game.
The bad parts are just to numerous that they leave me feeling unsatisfied and just not wanting to play.
To start, theres no freedom to play how you like. Stages are made for specific character types and you wont be able to beat them unless you use them. So, dont waste your time liking or leveling up your favorite character cause they will be rendered useless from time to time. Also, the leveling system, I really dont like it. There are tons of materials and ways to make your chaarcter stronger that it gets annoying. Theres the character main level, skill levels, skill choice, memory stats, sigil stats, verves(give stats) and friendship stats. All of those you need to grind to increase and make your character viable. Ive spent weeks doing nothing but login in for 5 minutes to clear material stages just to level up my characters, beat one story stage and having to do it all over again cause theres a discrepancy with the power you need for each stage and the characters you need. You can level your whole team for one stage but for the next one youre gonna need to level up a whole other team. A lot of people are saying the starting characters are enough but no, they arent. Once you pass chapter 1 youll see that you need other characters to be able to continues cause as I said, you are forced to play with certain types. Then the other problem is that character levels are tied to your profile level. So, if your level 10, characters can only get to level ten. This wouldnt be a problem but, since the only way to level up is to pass the main story then you are just stuck there waiting until you can max out your characters for that stage (then rinse and repeat for the next one). Ive been level 18 and on the same stage for about 2 and a half weeks now because I can only log in to grind materials till the characters needed for the stage are good enough. And since energy is horribly unbalanced. I can do about 10 stages of materials which is not enough cause material drop is low as heck. Imagine using 100 energy to level up about 3 character skills once (out of six) Thats it. You still need to increase main level, memory stats, verves, friendship stats and sigils. It makes no sense.
There are tons of other basic problems but I feel I talked about the most frustrating ones. 

And so, to conclude this horrible rant, this is yet another gacha that has a good idea but fails to execute.

The character designs are absolutely adorable I love virginias new outfit and the range of designs. The game is pretty simple which is nice since most of these types of games are very confusing but this one is easy, in a good way!

This game does a really good job of combining simple puzzle solving elements and rpg elements together. Has a great story so far, the art style is among some of my favorites. 5 star all the way

Okay. How to start it off.. the game is really fun and enjoyable n all. But GREAT HEAVENS. The level 2-3 (boss: supreme supreme) is the MOST annoying boss. No matter how many times I try to level up my dolls, no matter what I do.. this dang boss STILL defeats me. I can even get the boss confused and unable to fight back for what EVER REASON she gains EXTREME AMOUNTS OF HEALTH BACK. -_- I have already spent money on this game and I’m not putting anymore. Maybe if I could get some advice I would appreciate it -_-

I would have rated this higher and even bought some gems if only the translation wasn't so bad. It's not the worst translation out there, but it's still quite bad. Gameplay is nice.

They are doing some tricky things on doll pool. I am keep pulling the same dolls which is I have. They make it to let you pay them. Do not download this game. The developer is definitely write some special code for pull rate.

**Developer response:** All Dolls' evoke rates are strictly in accordance with the publicly displayed information. Dallian apologizes for your feelings, but there's good news! When the rate up happens every week, your chances of obtaining specific Dolls increase significantly. Additionally, each gacha round rewards you with shiny Lunar Dust. What's magical is that with 300 Lunar Dust, you can acquire any Doll your heart desires!

The game locks character progression behind milestone levels and player progression behind daily quests and first time level clears which can be even more difficult if you’re not a spender. The end result is the entire experience being so time-gated, it’s the same as watching paint dry. 

Even if you get the levels required, you have a lot of bonus stats locked behind dupes or shards to increase your characters’ power and gacha only equipment which also requires dupes to increase the passive effects. If you get the gear, you still require a lot of sanity (the stamina system) which is limited and expensive to refill with crystals because you will have to farm exorbitant amounts of exp, materials for the skill levels, and gold. 

The combat itself is not particularly interesting and forces you to bring specific elements on your characters to break through the shields or you’ll deal greatly reduced damage on a game with a limited turn count for every fight. This isn’t usually so bad since it’s primarily the job of one team member who can hit twice in one turn (called a breaker by the community) but if you don’t have the right breaker for a fight, you’re in for either a loss or a very drawn out fight as one of your other units chips away at the shields.

I honestly love literally 99% of this game. Gorgeous design, interesting setting, and tounge-in-cheek dialogue all pull you in. The battle system is a fresh take on the standard turn-based-phone-rpg, and the animated ultimate abilities are fantastic.

But the first time the game used the “r word”, I was a bit shocked. This slur is so outdated, I knew it had to be an odd translation issue, as it was used toward a character previously called a moron. The second time made me cringe and I considered deleting the game. Then earlier today, I got to a cut scene that was just tossing it in all over the place, and before scene finishing the scene, I closed the game out and deleted it.

I have ADHD. So does one of my kids, and my other child is autistic. We’ve all become familiar with how hurtful this word can be, and it’s become fairly well-accepted that this really isn’t a word in use anymore at a societal level. So there is no reason why a game this big should have it included, at all, for any reason.

I was so excited to play. I was sending screenshots into a group text with my wife and our friends regularly, talking about how amazing this game is. I wanted to badly to love this game. What a disappointment. I’m writing this review in the hopes others see it before downloading the game and being smacked in the face like I was.

Illusory Limbo is unrewarding and long. Especially the puzzles that make you go back constantly in a circle or even going completely out of the way for challenges. Im on Level 4 and still mot enough keys. 

Y not do something for friends instead of just visitng their boring same dorm like everyone else’s. 

Rpg event was awesome but this gem ones after updates are ??? More fun events bros not p2w press a button.

Instead of just having battles on each stage you have to do super tedious “puzzles” where you slowly move 1 space at a time through a map. This takes like 3 minutes per level and only gets longer as you progress. The art style is really nice but it is not enough to make the game worth playing.

I got stuck on the boss of 1-6. It was really dumb because there was nothing I could do to defeat it. I couldn’t upgrade my units because they reached max level at lvl 6, I couldn’t boost them in any way because that requires items found in the stages, I couldn’t summon new units because that required summon tickets or gems, which I had no way of obtaining through gameplay, so I received them via daily rewards, but to no avail because no matter what unit I got, they weren’t powerful enough to defeat this boss when I powered them up. I don’t think there should be such a big difficulty spike so early on. Leave the difficulty ramping to after the player’s unlocked all the basic stuff! I was practically softlocked before I even started the game, which is such a shame because the game itself seemed pretty good up until this boss. As for that boss, my problem is that my characters can’t out-damage it’s healing capabilities, and there’s no way to boost unit damage beyond a certain point at this stage of the game. I might actually try playing this game if that boss gets nerfed though. TLDR, nerf boss 1-6.

it’s a very fun game in terms of terms based combat mechanics and storyline (although you’ll have to read A LOT in order to appreciate how good it truly is). It’s also very F2P as well will all functions of the game accessible to free to play players! No other games does that! The additional storyline for romanced characters as well as skins are very well done!

I’ve been playing this game since it’s US release! I really enjoy the characters, the chill grind, story, and challenges. They are also pretty generous with the crystals you use for rolling for characters too! 

This game has a lot of Madoka Magica (anime) vibes! You don’t have to spend to do well in this game either!

I honestly really enjoy the game. The amount of effort put into not only the main story, but the characters as well. The art is beautiful and the game also does a great job in providing the currency for gachas.

My only critique would be the need for more skins. 

But overall, I love this game and Andrea is best girl.

Cute waifus, a decent story and also a bonding mechanic? What’s not to love?

Only problem I have with the game is the lack of stamina to play longer and there’s some translation issues.

Okay let’s get this out of the way. This isn’t a game that will let you steamroll it through brute force. If you aren’t willing to take the time to think through problems it’s best you turn somewhere else.

Now then; This game is awesome. I tell ya what, I usually hate all gachas with a passion because of their cheap, manipulative, gameplay that coerces you into spending to make the game easier. The only exceptions I’ve found to the rule are this game and Girls’ Frontline. You don’t NEED to spend money i. This game to progress, but you DO need to take your time digesting it. This isn’t a “snack” so to speak. It’s a 3 course meal at a good restaurant. Everything is unlocked at a reasonable pace so just sit back and play for a couple of hours.

Now I could go into MUUUCH greater detail on how great this game is and that it’s worth spending money here as opposed to the rest of the garbage on this godforsaken store app, but this is an appstore review so I’ll assume you want it brief. Play the game. If you like everything about it, feel free to spend some cash. If you have a gambling problem, there are healthier outlets somewhere else.

I’ll keep it quick but the combat doesn’t feel super stressful, it just can take some strategizing and the soundtrack is fantastic. I’ve even fallen asleep to the menu theme before.
