It does work. ### 1/5 — Garbage *2024-12-30, version 1.2.7* Takes many tries to connect. Then the connection just drops out and you have to start all over again. Not worth it. Buy something else!! ### 1/5 — Seems defective & no Support *2024-12-29, version 1.2.7* Generally worked pretty well. It measured 32° as 35 which is almost OK, but it measured 212 correctly. However, the probe had to be inserted over 2 inches in ice or boiling water to measure it! It says the sensor is in the tip, but it clearly is not. You could not measure the interior of a roast. their contact us page as a Joke. It says, contact us. No email no form. Nothing on the documentation sending it back. ### 1/5 — Same story *2024-12-19, version 1.2.7* Purchased this for the price. The repeater connects, but the probe will not. Going to return. How this item got 4.6 stars on Amazon is baffling. ### 1/5 — Junk *2024-10-12, version 1.2.7* This thermometer is junk. I have the same problem as the current reviewer listed; it connects but the thermometer will not transmit. I’ve only had this 5 months and it is inoperable. 😡 ### 1/5 — Avoid this manufacturer *2024-05-30, version 1.2.7* I have the BQ02 model smart thermometer, which seems to have arrived broken. The cradle/repeater host successfully pairs to my phone, but the probe remains disconnected—I have never gotten a temperature reading from it. Despite a cheerful suggestion in-app to reach out to the manufacturer for technical support, the manufacturer maintains no such capability. I interacted for several days with their reseller support salesperson. The only channel I found for technical support was via the Alibaba marketplace app (my model was purchased as a gift via Amazon). I presented multiple videos and screen captures of the malfunctioning device, at the manufacturer’s direction, but was told I could only work with the reseller who fulfilled the order. They don’t stand behind their product, and their app doesn’t reflect the reality of their business model. ### 1/5 — Useless *2024-01-31* This is a huge waste of money, probe goes offline after 5 minutes in the oven. Do not buy. ### 1/5 — ambient temperature *2024-01-07* ambient temperature keeps ready high when it’s not even in the oven. Just open the box paired it and its reading 300 Celsius . went to get help from the app the contact page doesn’t give you an email or phone number to contact just states they’ll help you. Now my phone is buzzing none stop saying it’s too hot! ### 1/5 — German Translation is unusable! *2023-12-15* It seams that you used a Translation program. ### 5/5 — Works well, one issue *2025-08-09, version 1.2.9* Connected almost immediately with both the iPhone XR and iPad Air. Very nice that it shows both the internal and ambient temps. (Since there’s no screen on the device, the app must be used to see temperatures. The base DOES have to be On and the probe out.) The issue: on the iPad Air, the Reminders mostly obscure the Recording/Graph/History screen.
