I have meditated and practiced yoga for years but never mixed my faith and meditation practices. I have always been a Christian but let my daily devotional life lapse and felt distant from God. I knew I should start studying the Bible again but felt overwhelmed at where to start. This seemed to be a good way to meditate and get a quick dose of spirituality to start my day. It has been so much more. It has changed my life. I am back communicating with Jesus every day and I no longer feel distant from him. Every session included a loud, constant humming or droning background tone that I found extremely distracting. Rather than helping me relax, the sound made it difficult to concentrate on what the speaker was saying. I found myself focusing on the background humming instead of the meditation itself. The tone was intrusive, irritating, and far too prominent in the audio. After listening, I often felt uncomfortable and developed a strong headache. Based on the description, I was expecting calming guided meditations, but the constant background drone was not something I anticipated. Overall, the app did not provide the relaxing experience I was looking for, and I was disappointed by both the limited content and the audio design. The problem we are having is that it is supposed to be shareable with our other family members, but there is no way for us to share the subscription. I left a message on their Facebook page but received no response. I tried to send an email, but it bounced back stating that the email is invalid, although it is the one they have at the bottom of those website. There is no phone number listed either. Except when they do the guided meditation of self love and love for others do they speak more, but just as a reminder about your statements about love or your centering back on breath. Soulspace is more of a guided mental exercise. There were statements at the end that were breathe out judgement, breathe in love, etc. I would love just something simple as that with scripture reminder. Also there needs to be more set-up at the beginning about how to breathe and more time to get comfortable. Or this I don’t feel, is a true meditation, but a mental exercise, just making my mind THINK more.
