Updated phone, still no joy! Uninstalled/ reinstalled, App still crashes. Thought you guys would have this resolved, it’s been years. Do you have a patch? Running IOS18. ### 1/5 — This App is so outdated, my 100 YO Grandma remembers it¡ *2020-11-10, version 1.05.26* This Sound Blaster App should have been updated 7 years Ago! It’s a joke, it’s IMPOSSIBLE to connect with any new iPhone to the best of my knowledge. I was having problems with my iPhone 7Plus. Creative, Please DO TELL why , as a company you’re destroying the goodwill, that has been built up over 2 Decades, with Garbage software?(Plus quality problems/my new Aurvana Trio face plate fell off) I’m at the point of NEVER buying another product from Creative. It’s almost comical, if it weren’t so sad, My 1 YO SoundBlaster E-5 DAC/AMP has NEVER been able to connect with my iPhone 11 PROMAX. There’s much better products available W DUAL DAC’s & Bluetooth, (that works) for 1/2 the price, with METAL Construction. The EQ is terrible and slow. Anything else? If where any worse , it would appear that the Company is headed for extinction. Mabey it is, and Creative will be no more. ### 1/5 — Useless *2019-12-10, version 1.05.26* E5 disconnects when trying to play iTunes. I assume to force you to use their music player in this app. Doesn’t matter if you don’t have this app installed, it still will lose connection when playing from iTunes. Basic things... ### 1/5 — Does not work with IPhone XS Max *2019-04-14, version 1.05.26* Multiple issues with this app if you are trying to use it with iPhone XS max. Can you please update this app so we can use it with the latest iOS. The connection between the amp and iPhone is breaking up very frequently. The current version does not show that the amplifier is connected and the controls don’t work. I would sincerely request you to please have a look at this app and provide some updates. ### 1/5 — Device does not work with IOS 10 + *2018-10-31, version 1.05.26* The cable connection option does not work on iOS 11 at all and on IOS 10 there is this awful sharp noise pops up every few minutes. Only Bluetooth works. This is a 200 dollars device. I think it deserves a better support. Even on PC, sometimes the device fails. There is no replacement, like a newer version of the thing as well. Come on, Sound blaster. ### 1/5 — Love Creative Products, but..... *2018-09-26, version 1.05.26* I love Creative’s products however their iOS software is appalling. This app hasn't been updated in 2 years either which is rather shocking too considering that the Firmware of their devices are kept quite up to date. Right the app itself has no option to select “Direct Mode” so your stuck wondering if its pulling the raw audio from your phone or not. I have a lot of trouble getting my iPhone 8 Plus to recognise the device is even connected. This is since the release of iOS 12 however it works fine on my iPad Pro every time which also has iOS 12 so not sure whats going off there. Maybe it will resolve itself in time. Maybe you could create an option where by you can force to app to find and connect to it. Creative I implore you to make a single Creative Central app that can be used to connect to and configure all of your devices. I have the Creative X7 (with the XM7 Speakers) a Creative E5 and a Metallix Speaker. Having two separate apps to control them is rather annoying to say the least so I think you really should create one central piece of identical software for all. ### 1/5 — No controls except volume *2018-07-23, version 1.05.26* I have contacted Creative about this app, which only provides control of sound on my iPad and iPhone, as none of the other controls appear! I am also astonished that the control centre I downloaded onto my iMac will only work if the speaker is plugged into it by a USB port. Got this hoping to add a sweet DAC to my new iPhone 7. Sadly this app does not recognize the Soundblaster X G5. Works with E5, but is very slow and unreliable when used over BlueTooth. Over USB it works OK. Also, the app's UI could use an update. It looks like it was last updated in 2010 when the iPhone 4 came out, or something. It does not use seem to use auto layout or size classes, clearly. Maybe with the the iPhone 7 increasing demand for external DACs, SB will step up their game and hire a new iOS developer. Or just open source the app and open up the device’s API. The mixing and routing options could be so much better. Like... why does the mixer let you mix in bluetooth but the stereo output over USB doesn’t include that audio? When listen w/headphones on the E5, and I hear music from bluetooth plus my PS4 game audio, but the PS4 doesn’t get the bluetooth audio, it only gets the mic-in sound. Argh. Frustrating! ### 1/5 — Bad app *2017-07-16, version 1.05.26* Other than the volume and player feature this app holds no other significant purpose. There is no equalizer and with a Bluetooth headset you would hope that would also be available to quick connect via the app but no. This is a completely lackluster program that has no benefit to my enjoyment while using the Bluetooth or corded methods. Why did your company even decide to invest in an app if you were going to go halfway on it. ### 1/5 — Terrible *2017-01-03, version 1.05.26* This is the app that the box of the speaker I got said to download. This app connects to the speaker fine no problems there. But when your on the the app and connected there is nothing on it no customisation or anything. The apps been out since 2012 and looking at the reviews they have got it working since which is terrible in my opinion. I could not find any free equalizer apps. I do not have any CREATIVE devices but it increases the max volume and enhances the bass. I get a greater dynamic range on my blue tooth corded earbuds and my totally wireless blue tooth earbuds. There are no useable buttons, but it really makes all my blue tooth devices sound great!! ### 5/5 — Update your firmware if you have issues *2016-01-14, version 1.05.23* When I first tried this app, I only had a setting option, nothing else. Thought the app was broken. I updated the firmware of the device and the app is running fine with all options available. It's a little slow when communicating with the E5 but I think it might be my phone... Ha. Well, I installed the driver software on my PC, did a FIRMWARE update on the E5 using the pull down menu in the top-right corner (down-pointing triangle), and now YAY I can tweak EQ and load profiles with my phone again! To be clear, the E5 still connected (automatically) with Bluetooth to my phone and would play audio, just couldn't be accessed by the mobile app on iOS9. I like the ability to connect the E5 to my PS4 via optical and USB, then use my phone to mix optical (game) volume and USB (chat) volume on the fly. Or EQ up the bass, tame treble spikes, etc. I'm also kind of impressed that my Apple Music that I downloaded but didn't separately buy was still able to play through Sound Blaster Central... For some reason a lot of other apps won't do that. I don't have a need to use Central's music player, but it does work. The Bluetooth settings are still slow to adjust... not sure why, but I can deal with it. ### 4/5 — why no profile and remote settings for blaster roar？ *2014-11-06, version 1.05.19* please add support！ ### 4/5 — A physical control panel disable function? *2014-02-23, version 1.04.23* The rest of the app is working pretty well, but I just wonder if an disable button for the physical touch control panel function could be added to the app. The volume control on the panel is so tricky. Any unattempted touch (with any part of your body, even behind cloth) will drive the volume high and low like crazy!
