## What is Sound Hunt?

Make an instrument from where you are.

Sound Hunt turns nearby sounds into a playable drum kit. Knock on a table, click a pen, tap a cup, rustle some leaves. Collect a few recordings, choose the useful moments and start playing your own sounds.

YOUR FIRST HUNT, STEP BY STEP
Choose your surroundings and follow simple recording prompts. Sound Hunt finds events, trims quiet edges, suggests acoustic categories and helps select distinct variations. Listen, remove what you don’t want and fill your first nine pads.

PLAY WHAT YOU FOUND
Tap your pads and record a rhythm. Pause, resume and stop to save a performance as a stereo WAV. Set a tempo, use a count-in or metronome, and optionally snap saved timing to sixteenth notes. Play in portrait or landscape on iPhone and iPad.

SHAPE THE SOUND
Adjust the trim, level, pitch and tail fade. Try Natural, Warm, Crisp or Radio tone presets. Choose another moment from an original recording whenever you like. Your originals stay intact.

KEEP THE PLACE
Give each collection a name and a few notes. Add an optional location to remember it on your personal sound map. A kitchen after hours, a walk through the park, the objects in your pocket: each can become its own instrument.

TAKE YOUR KIT WITH YOU
Share an individual sample as WAV, export a kit as a ZIP of WAVs, or share your recorded performance. Continue working in your favourite music software.

START WITH POCKET STUDIES
Nine included nature and foley sounds let you play immediately: wood, twigs, gravel, water, birds, a frog, leaves, rain and wind. The demo recordings are CC0 and can be used in your music.

YOUR SOUNDS STAY YOURS
Audio processing happens on your device. No account or audio upload is needed. Optional usage analytics helps improve the app without sending your recordings, names, notes or saved places.

Your first complete kit, its exports and recorded performances are included. Unlimited sound hunts are available with a single lifetime in-app purchase. No subscription.
