## What is Sound K?

Sound K-9 is a simple sound exposure planner and activity log for dogs.

Create sound routines, choose stock sounds, record or import custom audio, set volume and duration, schedule exposure times, and track what has been completed over time.

Use Sound K-9 to:

• Choose a sound and control playback manually
• Play one sound or mix multiple sounds together
• Use continuous playback or timed playback
• Adjust volume with a slider or step control
• Record custom sounds
• Import saved audio files from Files
• Build or find routines for each dog
• Add routine notes
• Set scheduled exposure times
• View activity history by dog, sound, routine, week, or month

Sound K-9 is built for people who want a simple, organized way to manage sound work without extra clutter. Dog records are kept simple, routines are easy to review, and the Activity Log helps show what has been done.

The app is local-first. Dog names, routines, custom sounds, notes, and activity history are stored on the device.

This update refines the main Sound K-9 screens with cleaner layout and controls.

The sound-control screen now has improved button spacing, white lettering on the Sound Library, Add a Sound, and Routines buttons, better running-routine text, and improved Volume and Duration slider behavior.

### 1.7 — 2026-08-11

This update refines the main Sound K-9 screens with cleaner layout and controls.

The sound-control screen now has improved button spacing, white lettering on the Sound Library, Add a Sound, and Routines buttons, better running-routine text, and improved Volume and Duration slider behavior.

Build a Routine was cleaned up with simpler Name and Sound rows, a revised schedule layout, repositioned Auto Fill and Copy Day controls, and a cleaner bottom button row.

Add a Sound was also simplified with cleaner Sound Name and Category rows, updated recording/import/save controls, Volume and Duration sliders, and reduced extra text.

### 1.6 — 2026-08-06

This update focuses on the main Sound K-9 control screen.

The Home screen layout has been refined with a clearer Less Fear • More Fun header, improved selected-sound placement, and a cleaner sound-control layout.

Sound Library now opens its own page with vertical categories and sounds listed under each category. Duration can now be set to 0 seconds for untimed playback, while timed playback can expand from 30 minutes to 1 hour and up to 4 hours.

Volume and Duration controls were simplified, and active routines continue to appear as simple centered text at the bottom of the main screen.

### 1.5 — 2026-08-05

This update focuses on the main Sound K-9 control screen.

The Home screen has been refined to better match the intended sound-control layout. The header now uses the updated Less Fear • More Fun wording, the selected sound appears as clean plain text without an extra box or label, and the main controls have been simplified.

Sound controls now use On / Stop and Constant. On changes to Stop while sound is playing, while Constant is designed for ongoing playback and elapsed-time tracking. Volume and Duration sliders were cleaned up to reduce clutter.

Sound Library, Add a Sound, and Routines were adjusted to look more consistent, and active routines now appear as simple centered text at the bottom of the main screen.

### 1.4 — 2026-08-04

Sound K-9 has been updated with cleaner navigation, improved routine controls, and a smoother Add a Sound flow.

This version adds back buttons on app pages, keeps Settings in the header, adjusts the header layout, and continues the simplified Home sound-control design.

Build a Routine has been cleaned up with simpler Pet Name and Sound rows, a vertical schedule list, Copy Day, and consistent bottom controls for Routine On/Off, Save, and Delete.

Add a Sound now keeps Import/Download visible while recording, changes Start Recording to Stop Recording without changing the whole screen, and stays on the Add a Sound page after saving.
