(until now...) *2021-01-06, version 2.4.8* This app is within my top five most frequently used apps on my phone. I listen to music with it every day, multiple times a day, and it has been AMAZING. Until now. Just yesterday, I put my headphones in, got on my phone, went on the SoundLoop app, opened the playlists menu, and found all my playlist thumbnails out of order. I thought ‘Oh, well that’s weird. Must be a minor glitch.’ and tried to play a song from one of my playlists. Instead it played a (probably) completely random song from either my history or another playlist. I then thought ‘Ok, that’s both annoying and a problem.’ And then the app suddenly just crashed. Now, any time I try to do anything related to playlists, the app immediately crashes, no matter if it’s just clicking on the playlist menu, or trying to add a song to one of my playlists. If you’re an average person reading this, check the app version. If it says 2.3.7, the glitch hasn’t been fixed yet. If it says anything later than that, it might have been fixed. If you’re one of the app developers reading this, please fix this fast! Update: Playlist button still crashes the app in 2.3.8. Please fix! Update: Eventually I deleted the app and redownloaded it, and it immediately fixed the issue. Had no issues for a very long time, but now for some reason it won’t play the music after I go out of the app. Still love this thing, and I’m gonna stick with it through thick and thin! ### 3/5 — Whyyy *2020-11-01, version 2.4.8* Used to be good but now you can’t play anything without the app open. But as of a couple of days ago the app won’t play my music/video when I move off the app or lock my screen. It would be great if The issue was resolved since I like to read and listen to music at the same time among other things. Four or five stars when it’s working, one star for now since it’s literally useless. ### 3/5 — Buggy but Great *2020-07-28, version 2.4.6* Fantastic way to listen to music or audio based videos while on the go...when it works. Concerning v2.4.6, the app crashes or fails to search constantly. I’ve had minor success with a couple of workarounds: 1) Reset phone internet access by turning it all off and back on through settings, or turning on airplane mode for 10ish seconds then turning it off. Limited success. 2) Go into Settings>SoundLoop>Siri&Search then disable Learn from this App. Dunno if it’s been a fluke, but I have had back to back successful searches for three days now. It will still crash and fail half the time, but I get two or three successful searches and plays on videos before it starts crashing again. I do listen to the videos that actually work without crashes once they start playing. ### 3/5 — Great when it works, frustrating when it doesn’t. *2020-07-02, version 2.4.6* I LOVE this app. Been using it for years, especially for night when I need music/sound to fall asleep and have something specific in mind. Also great for when you find a song and you can’t get enough of it. However something that happens more and more frequently is “not able to search... Try again later”. Sometimes uninstalling it then REINSTALLING it works. However you lose your history so when it doesn’t work you lose everything and can’t click on any video because nothing is there and it’s extremely frustrating. Outside of that one glitch this app is amazing and you can listen outside of the app and even with the screen shut off. If they’d fix that one issue I’d definitely be giving this app five stars instead of three. ### 2/5 — The does not work anymore *2020-06-29, version 2.4.6* This used to be such a great app. I used to use this all the time when driving but it has recently been getting worse through its updates. Before it just crashes when I try to search but that was easily fixed by reopening the app and searching again. After this update (Version 2.4.6) I cannot even search anymore. It will just give “Cannot Search...Please Try Again Later”. There is never a later as it will never work. It’s hard to use with headphones in my pocket if you can’t shut the screen off. ### 1/5 — Background listening not working *2020-10-28, version 2.4.8* Normally when I use this app, I expect the music to be able to run in the background while I do other stuff on my phone. However, since 10/26/2020 this is not working. I play a song and get out of the app. What’s supposed to happen is that when I do this, the song I’m listening to continues playing again after a couple seconds. But since the date specified above, nothing happens. The music just stops until I get back in the app. Can you please fix this? Only thing Id like to see added would be a cacheing or loading feature so if you play through a song you can listen after leaving a location where you have an internet connection. It’s awesome because the youtube app still doesn’t let you use your phone at the same time & this lets you access videos not on music streaming platforms. However I have one suggestion- if possibly the next app update can have an option to ‘add all’ from a previous playlist to a new one? whenever i start a new playlist i have to make it from scratch. I think it would be very beneficial and save time to have the option to go to an existing playlist, click a button that says ‘add to another playlist’ and then select your new playlist’s name so that the many videos can all be added instantly instead of taking hours to add so many to the new one!
