### 4/5 — Sleep detection sensitivity

*2026-08-27, version 5.0.22*

I have been quite happy with Soundcore sleep A30s -- way way better than the Ozlo I had for a bit over a year.

I do wish I could adjust how sensitive they are to detecting I've fallen asleep. My audio often plays for an hour or two after I've drifted off before being paused and transitioning to the local audio.

### 3/5 — 1.0+ GB way to big.

*2026-08-26, version 5.0.22*

Good app, but takes up way too much space on the iPhone over 1.0Gb

### 3/5 — Update please

*2026-08-25, version 5.0.22*

I have a P2 it cost 15$ so can you make an update so I can use mine to update can be next week Sunday as soon as possible 🙏🏾😫🥺😤😡🤬

### 2/5 — R50i VI issue

*2026-08-18, version 5.0.21*

The EQ does not give a change for what I’m hearing, bad connection to the app please fix it

### 2/5 — No mute ability

*2026-08-12, version 5.0.21*

You removed the mute ability from the Liberty Pro earbuds which makes them completely useless for work calls and I bought these solely for taking work calls based on recommendations because they are supposed to work well with Teams. Now I wish I had purchased a different brand or that I could return these.

### 3/5 — Need iPhone Notification Announce

*2026-08-08, version 5.0.20*

What would make this a 5-star review would be around functionality. Specifically, notification announcement for things like calls, text messages and notifications from the various applications. My Meta Glasses can read notifications however SoundCore does not. Unfortunately, this makes the Liberty 5 Pro Max pretty useless for any serious use. Too bad because the sound cancelation is really good!

### 2/5 — Falta de acessibilidade para iOS

*2026-08-05*

A versão para português do Brasil não tem acessibilidade para usuários do VoiceOver no iPhone quem não enxerga não tem como saber o que tem nos links para clicar

### 3/5 — Ehhh

*2026-08-04, version 5.0.20*

The app is good but when it comes to anka ai it is so dreadful I will tell it search the web but it says it can’t but I very obviously does but refuses to do another web search for answers until it forgets and also it’s training data cutoff is pretty bad and anka needs a newer base model

### 4/5 — Ótimo APP

*2026-08-03*

O aplicativo é ótimo, muito fluido e fácil de usar.

Apenas o widget no IPhone que não funciona. Fica como se precisasse conectar o fone, mesmo com ele já conectado.

### 1/5 — AI for headphones?

*2026-08-03, version 5.0.20*

Dumbest use of AI I’ve seen, and I’ve seen some monumentally dumb stuff.

I shouldn’t need my privacy compromised to choose what happens when I tap an earbud.

In conclusion, a truly awful app.

Update: I see the update changes nothing. Really poor.

### 1/5 — Ridiculous Tracking Of Users, No Capability To Disable AI

*2026-08-02, version 5.0.20*

Lack of the capability to turn off the ‘AI’ feature is an enormous error. Coupled with the incredibly bad form of tracking users that have purchased your product makes this app and all Anker products a banned company in my home.

### 1/5 — Tired of AI in everything

*2026-08-02, version 5.0.20*

Why does a headphone app need AI? Answer: It doesn’t.

### 3/5 — Hmmm

*2026-08-02, version 5.0.20*

A20s best things I’e ever found…except following update last year would only charge to 40% in one ear and then died 2 hrs later. I kept them and tried another brand- not as good. 2 updates ago, suddenly they’re charging to 100%. Update today…. And 80 and 90% …. If charges to 100% next charge will rewrite this review but right now, feeling highly suspicious.

### 1/5 — Enough already with the AI BS

*2026-08-01, version 5.0.20*

All I want is to control my earbuds…NOT have a meaningful and lasting relationship listening to music with an AI bot and an app that gorges itself with 800mb of my device’s storage space.

### 3/5 — The app itself is really great, but…

*2026-07-30, version 5.0.14*

PLEASE, I’m begging you, update the app badge so we can have a dark icon that matches the rest of the dark icons on iOS 26. We’re almost to iOS 27 and this app icon is an eyesore as it’s the only one on the home screen that doesn’t have a light or dark version of the icon. Just make the icon the Soundcore logo and that’s it. Remove the “Anka”, then make it compatible with iOS 26’s design language. It would be perfect if this was done.

### 1/5 — Fake

*2026-07-29, version 5.0.14*

Mày mua tai nghe mà phải đến bước cài app test như t thì chúc mừng tai nghe m mua như lỗ đít

### 1/5 — AI for headphones?

*2026-08-28, version 5.0.24*

Dumbest use of AI I’ve seen, and I’ve seen some monumentally dumb stuff.

I shouldn’t need my privacy compromised to choose what happens when I tap an earbud.

In conclusion, a truly awful app.

Update: I see the update changes nothing. Really very poor.

### 1/5 — Bloatware

*2026-08-28, version 5.0.22*

Why does an EQ app need a useless AI chatbot? Why can’t it perform basic functions like making the headphones mono or stereo? Why is it taking up 1 GB of space? Unacceptable.

### 1/5 — 300+ MB of Doc & Data

*2026-08-27, version 5.0.22*

What 300+ MB doc & data is needed for, while the app itself is already 600+ MB? People don’t have unlimited storage in their mobile devices.

### 1/5 — Doesnt work

*2026-08-25*

Phone is terrible, app just make it worst

### 1/5 — Give me a way to disable the AI assistant.

*2026-08-24, version 5.0.22*

I wish there was a clear way to disable the AI assistant that comes with the app. So, to keep my headphones firmware up to date, I have to download the app, then after checking for any firmware updates, delete the app and periodically repeat the process.

### 1/5 — Can’t connect to my Life Q30 headset anymore

*2026-08-24*

The new AI feature is not that important. I know it costed money but in the process of developing it the MAIN feature (which is connecting to your device) is now broken, because of that this app has lost it’s functionality entirely. Soundcore should rethink their business model.

### 1/5 — Massive app for what it does!!

*2026-08-23, version 5.0.21*

The app is fine, but this is some of the laziest programming I’ve ever seen. Why is this almost one gigabyte?! with the cost of RAM and storage skyrocketing this app is no longer worth keeping on your device

### 1/5 — Disappointment !!

*2026-08-23*

Anker Soundcore doesn't care about its customers. I bought a pair of Sleep A20 earbuds and lost one; the firmware no longer allows pairing with my iPhone! Absurd! Support doesn't respond! You've lost a loyal customer!

### 1/5 — TOO FRUSTRATED WITH IT!

*2026-08-21, version 5.0.21*

I was excited when I got this the first time! Now I’m extremely frustrated with these $15 wireless P25I earbuds! They won’t stay connected to any of my devices at all!

### 1/5 — Stupid!

*2026-08-10, version 5.0.20*

I have my gadget playing, beautiful music, and I turn on another gadget, unrelated, and the app/speaker will glom onto that and switch to something completely undesired, requiring significant intervention just to get back to the desired original state. Completely unacceptable for an app of this self proclaimed sophistication.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Awesome for customizing

*2026-08-28, version 5.0.24*

The app is exemplary for a device manufacturer. Much bigger companies should watch and learn! Fully configure playback gestures on left and right side separately with an easy interface to do it. You can even choose which types of ambient noise are cycled when using that gesture.

### 5/5 — Don't use their app its spyware

*2026-08-12, version 5.0.21*

This app has become full on spyware, adding AI to that (which we never asked for) i just deleted it

### 5/5 — 좋아요~~

### 5/5 — Awesome app! iOS widgets would make it perfect 🎧

*2026-07-28*

I’ve been using the Soundcore app for a while now and I’m really impressed with how well-designed and reliable it is. The UI is clean, and features like custom EQ and device controls work seamlessly.
If there’s one thing that would take this app to the next level, it’s iOS widgets! Having home screen or lock screen widgets to quickly check headphone battery levels or toggle ANC modes without opening the app would be amazing. Keep up the great work!

### 5/5 — a person with adhd’s DREAM.

*2026-07-27, version 5.0.14*

like actually an incredible app and headphones. I haven’t slept like this in years. and the new tinnitus masking is AMAZING. Just incredible, I can’t recommend this enough.

### 5/5 — Just… WOW!!!

*2026-07-14, version 5.0.14*

Been using these for just three (3) nights now but had to write a review! As a side sleeper, I used Ozlo Sleepbuds for a couple years but had to keep turning up the volume to "Mask" my partners snoring/noises. The Sleepbud sounds were so loud they were keeping me awake too!!! I knew I needed ANC to solve the problem because I previously used my AirPods with a neck pillow, but they never lasted all night. The very first night with the A30 Specials was PERFECT and has gotten better as I learn to use the different settings. Last night I tried the memory foam tips and once again more noise was cancelled. I’ll probably keep trying other settings and variations just to see how much better things might get. If I discover something, I'll update this review, but right now.... JUST WOW!!!!

### 5/5 — App PARFAITE 🤩👍

*2026-07-02*

### 5/5 — Easily the best headphones

*2026-06-28, version 5.0.13*

The score Q30 headphones are easily the best headphones I have ever used. It’s good for its price and it is easy to control.

### 5/5 — Excellent earbuds

*2026-06-25, version 5.0.13*

I love these earbuds, and I bought a pair for my husband and my best friend, so now the whole house has them. We love the transparent/noice cancellation function, and the batteries last a long time between charges. These are well worth the investment. Highly recommend.

Some suggestions for the creators: A.) We would love a Soundcore widget showing battery % of both earbuds + case on the Home Screen, as well as the ability to change sound modes there. (I switch back and forth between modes regularly depending on background noise and having to unlock my phone and navigate through menus just to load the “connection” each time is cumbersome and time consuming.
B.). On the hardware side: the cases are quite small and easy to misplace, so having a “locate case” function in the app with a built in AirTag (for location on our GPS) and/ or a small speaker for a repeating tone (to help us figure out which couch cushion to look under.😉😁) would be IMMENSELY helpful.

### 5/5 — I use the “Soundcore select 4 go” speaker and the Soundcore app for audiobooks

*2026-06-24, version 5.0.13*

I really appreciate the ability to create several different types of Equalizer settings for some of my audiobooks. It’s also very helpful to name each equalizer setting using the narrator’s name or initials. I highly recommend using the Soundcore app with “Soundcore select 4 go” speakers if you listen to podcasts or audiobooks. Thanks
