Gave my true wireless earbuds new life! *2021-06-15, version 1.3.3* I never write reviews, but I really want to see that this app gets the attention it deserves and continues to be supported/updated. I own a bunch of true wireless earbuds and most of them fall short in two big areas, lack of max volume and low bass and mid range. I mainly listen to Spotify, so I went looking through the App Store for a good equalizer (and no, I don’t count Spotify’s built in one as good...its better than nothing but there’s not much to it). I tested all the super high rated ones but wasn’t that impressed with EQ tweaking you could do. Plus, the volume boosting capabilities of them only caused bad distortion. Came across this one that had a trial and was blown away. This equalizer has SO many options and customizations, I was able to create the perfect custom EQ setting. Now I’m getting tons of bass and midrange in addition to zero distortion when boosting the volume. This app honestly makes my wireless earbuds sound like high end IEM’s. So, I went ahead and bought a one year subscription. Only reason for four stars vs five is 1) I think it’s a little bit pricey. But, if you do the one time payment for one year, there’s a discounted price which is pretty reasonable. I just don’t want to see the price go any higher. 2) No support for the Apple Watch. I’d love to see a future update that includes an Apple Watch app that would allow me to search for and play my Spotify stuff without having to reach for my iPhone. Aside from these two things, this app is awesome and the best I’ve found. And you need to make it so a person can add their own backgrounds. ### 1/5 — Disappointing, Avoid The Frustration *2025-01-05, version 2.5.5* I just purchased, via the SoundHi+ trial period offer, a year’s subscription of this player. However, after an hour and a half’s worth of concerted effort I was left with only a malfunctioning player and a litany of frustration and disappointment. Consistently, when attempting to play any song, album, or playlist of my choosing, the application repeatedly kicked me out to my iPad Pro’s home screen and left only soaking in the sweat of my own frustration and disappointment. Unless you have a passion for risk or you’re a gluten for punishment, due yourself a favor, avoid this player. This is primarily the KaiserTone player KaiserTone Audio Player with extra features. I have both apps and use SoundHi mainly for its 'Crossfeed' feature which brings the soundstage a bit more forward when using headphones. It has a great Eq and Its Audio Separator works very well for karaoke or instrument practice. It does connect with Apple Music if you have a subscription however it cannot apply any of its effects to the AM stream. A most recently added or purchased group, or a way to sort by the length of time a file has been on my phone.
