## What is Soundiary?

Your day deserves to be remembered properly.

Soundiary turns a day of sound, heartbeat and body signals into a journal entry written in the quiet of the evening — nothing invented, nothing sentimental.

What matters more: unless you ask for it, your voice is never stored.

By default, Apple Watch samples the sounds around you, turns them into text, speaker labels and emotional features right on the device, then discards the raw audio. No recording files. No playback. Only meaning is kept.

Want to keep some of it? Turn on Save audio and each captured segment is also saved to your iPhone — ready to play, export or delete. The switch ships off, and it stays in your hands.

Through the day it listens quietly: sampled sensing, with silence and noise skipped automatically. It hears you from across the room, too — five levels of voice sensitivity, tuned to wherever you are.

Worried about battery? Power-saving mode samples just 6 seconds every 10 minutes, while body signals keep coming every 5. A whole night won't disturb your sleep.

In the morning, a story that's yours: what you did, who you met, how you felt, and what's still unfinished.

Who was speaking is your call: voices are grouped automatically, and you confirm or correct.

Everything stays on your device: no account, no cloud sync, no third-party SDK. Not even crash logs.

Paid download, complete on arrival: no in-app purchases, no subscriptions, no auto-renewal.

Requires iOS 18+ and Apple Watch Series 6 or later (including SE 2nd gen and Ultra).

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.3.0 — 2026-10-26

The whole interface has been rebuilt: all five screens now share one glass material, the big number on Today uses a lighter typeface, and Timeline, Speakers and Insights are now individual cards instead of plain rows.

Three state bugs are fixed too — the iPhone said "Not started" while the watch was recording, it kept saying "Sensing" after the watch stopped, and the sampling mode kept resetting itself to Standard or Power-saving.

No features were added or removed.

### 1.2.1 — 2026-10-22

If the watch app isn't installed yet, the iPhone now tells you where to get it, with a button that opens the Watch app directly.

Before, this case just showed an empty screen — many assumed the app was broken.

Nothing else changed.

### 1.2 — 2026-10-20

More changed in this version than it looks. Three things you'll notice right away.

[Interface: from colour block to glass]
Cards used to be flat translucent blocks. They now use system material — the purple and green glow behind shows through, with a thin highlight along the top edge, like a sheet of glass floating above the surface.
Corner radius went from 16 to 24, and padding widened with it, so text no longer hugs the edge.
Motion, too: numbers like heart rate and clip count now roll instead of jumping, and your phone gives a soft tap when a new clip arrives.

[Recording volume: the most substantial fix]
The watch had been treating audio like a phone call. Call mode actively quietens voices from a distance — and a watch sits on your wrist, thirty or forty centimetres from your mouth, right inside that zone. That is why saved recordings were always quiet.
It now records in plain record mode, with the level lifted before saving (and a ceiling so it never clips). It should sound normal now.

[Japanese]
Interface, permission prompts and the App Store page are all translated. Previously a Japanese system showed Chinese or English; now it is complete.

Your voice is still never stored by default — unless you turn on Save audio.

### 1.1 — 2026-10-17

New voice detection sensitivity — adjust how readily quiet speech is picked up.

New Save audio — when on, each captured segment is also saved to your iPhone, where you can play, export, or delete it under Settings → Recordings. Off by default: text only, no audio kept.

Fixed sensing stopping when the watch app moves to the background.

Added Japanese.

### 1.0 — 2026-10-15
