Great mag! *2019-07-28, version 6.0.2* Cannot log in and after 3 support emails of “help”, still cannot access mag subscription. Next step canceling visa charge ### 1/5 — Fair Magazine, Fouled Up App *2014-10-26, version 3.5.3* I found the magazine interesting and typically looked forward to reading it. However the app repeatedly tried to charge me twice for monthly editions. The support staff was responsive but less then helpful. I ended up deleting the app out of frustration even though I still had one month left on my subscription. ### 1/5 — Double Charges *2014-04-03, version 3.5.3* Not going to pay extra for something I have in print. ### 4/5 — CrackerGuy *2013-08-28, version 3.5.3* Like the diversity of topics and the photos often are outstanding. It's one of the boating mags I consider essential reading for both power and sail news. I particularly enjoy and benefit from the articles that teach me something and that leave me thinking, " there but for the grace of God...." Have had no issues with the digital edition for iPad, knock on wood. ### 4/5 — Great magazine, app only so-so *2013-05-19, version 3.1.0* I love this magazine, but the app is a bit frustrating. It is sluggish and has a tendency to forget my last page when I reopen it. It also stopped displaying issues in chronological order, the current issue is the fourth one down the list now. Strange, but still a great magazine. ### 4/5 — Downloading *2012-11-25, version 2.3.9* I love the magazine, ever since the story of the rebuilding of Aphrodite appeared. That said, many of my I Pad downloads fail to completely download. Even today, only 12 pages of the December issue 'arrived'. Discouraging. PLEASE CORRECT THIS PROBLEM DL. ### 1/5 — It's okay *2012-10-04, version 2.3.9* It's okay, articles for me are not as good as Passagemaker and it's hard to get it to download correctly to my iPad. Doubt I would subscribe. Probably the worst magazine for the iPad. Printed version is much better ### 1/5 — Love mag hate app *2012-10-04, version 2.3.9* I love the print version of the magazine but I hate hate hate the app. It freezes all the time. It is slow to load. Images are cropped and can't be seen properly. All other mags I read on i pad are so much better. ### 3/5 — Slow and unresponsive *2012-09-20, version 2.3.9* Download froze and the app had to be restarted. Very, very slow to jump to an article from the index in a downloaded edition. Faster if you just scroll through, but there are 164 pages in the edition I was looking at. I subscribe to 7 magazines monthly and this is the only one that I constantly have issues with. Most of the time I cannot even get the app to open further than the home scene. After multiple calls to Soundings digital support and multiple calls to iTunes I have the same issues. Worst app I've purchased on iTunes!! ### 1/5 — Can't Restore Previously Purchased Issues *2014-11-30, version 3.5.3* Please fix this broken app that will not allow for restoration of previously purchased issues...or I will be forced to cancel my subscription. This has been an ongoing issue that may have been exacerbated by the upgrade to iOS 8. In any event, this ongoing issue is inexcusable and should have been fixed long ago so that the app is functional and people are not being double-charged for the app developers' broken app. Please fix the issue restoration functionality a.s.a.p. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Boats, boats, boats *2014-07-12, version 3.5.3* If you own a boat, want to own a boat, or simply love boats, this magazine should be a required subscription. Great, well written articles, stories, and news items every month. Even the ads are useful and "clickable" for more info.
