If you want give it another try? ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2025-08-27* I bought the premium version just to find out that it doesn’t connect to the podcast library, only the audiobook library is working. I always get an API error trying to open the podcast library. In addition, audiobooks randomly stop playing. Overall, this app is now totally useless. **Developer response:** First class podcast support has been added in v2 Thank you for your purchase, if you like give it another try please! Thanks. ### 3/5 — Error while using Domain with https *2026-01-18* If connecting via http://ip:port everything works as stated. If trying to connect via http://domain or https://domain it says „Error Authentication failed. Please check your credentials or try logging in again. OK“ After this, it shows the „Switch Library“ tab with „no libraries found“. Clicking „Done“ does nothing. Restarting the App does not help. I need to reinstall the app. ### 3/5 — Support oidc login *2026-01-18* Please. ### 3/5 — Issues with Series *2025-12-21* I was excited when CarPlay got added to this app in the last update. I was all ready to switch to this from my other app until I realized it can’t order series correctly. There seems to be no rhyme or reason as to how it orders series and you can’t even drill down into the series to see the order yourself. Apparently this has been an issue forever according to the bugs/request. Hopefully it gets fixed as I love the look of this app compared to plappa, but it still can’t match that app for features. ### 3/5 — Looks nice but… *2025-09-28* Audiobooks load great along with the series and it looks nice but podcasts wouldn’t load at all. ### 3/5 — Works okay, but I have issues *2025-09-22* The app is beautifully designed but I have a few issues. 1)new books added to audiobookshelf don’t seem to appear quickly and I can’t find where to refresh the library. 2) when scrolling through chapters I wish it would scroll to the current chapter. ### 4/5 — Sort by number in series needed *2025-12-16* Best audiobookshelf client ### 4/5 — Good reader, could be great *2025-11-29* As someone who uses the beta AudiobookShelf app, SoundLeaf is similar in its design with only offline downloads and reading stats locked behind payment, very clean UI and more stable than the official (unreleased) app. Only issue I’ve found is inability to click on a books series to drill down to just show those within, and the books shown in the series view down show in book order, making picking the correct next book in a series tricky unless you know which to select. ### 4/5 — Love the 1.1 version *2025-05-14* but still a bit of feedback regarding connecting to a server: you should make it more obvious that tou can connect using http, not https. regarding the player, please give us an option in the player to switch between chapter-bases "scrubbing", and whole-book-bases scrubbing. there should also be a setting which is prefered as default. if it is possible to switch already, please make it more obvious **Developer response:** Thank you for the kind words, this is coming up in the v1.2 version. ## Most praised reviews (9 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Works great with audiobookshelf *2026-08-14* Has great ergonomics, keep working on it! Try and get new audiobooks that have been added to sync quicker- it’s the remaining flaw imho. **Developer response:** It should be much better in v2.2 (upcoming release, and a fresh new look). The most recent update is phenomenal. Getting the widget feature, seeing what’s in progress and finished, all features i was waiting would arrive. The colour scheme and usability is well thought out. Privacy focused and able to easily connect to my audiobook collection. Feeling like something was missing, I continued my hunt for the best ABS player and I think I’ve found it. Not only is this app beautifully designed, but it works excellently. The instant I typed in my local address it connected. That was very satisfying. I used it for less than five minutes before buying the full version. Thank you for having a fixed price and not a subscription. Smart download is a game changer for me. That’s the one featured I didn’t know I needed and now can’t live without. I know you received lots of feedback and I’m looking forward to being able to read epub publications in this app. Keep up the amazing work.
