That was until now when I logged on to check it out it says to use the app at all I need a subscription the free stuff before was perfect. Guess what? Now you have ruined it! Thanks a lot ### 5/5 — Perfect compliment to Pzizz - or as a stand-alone! *2020-01-26* I have used Pzizz to fall asleep for years. Since it was a desktop app that output MP3 files, actually. Now I use it on my phone every night. If I happen to wake up, I have a saved Soundly favorite I’ve built that helps me fall right back to sleep and keeps me asleep through the night. I would say that this has the same sounds when you turn it on your Alexa! There is even rain sounds and probably more to discover! I want to ask. Did you make that amazing Alexa skill? ### 3/5 — nice while it lasted... *2020-01-16, version 1.7.5* it was incredible, and I used it every night until I cleared the app from my queue, and then when I opened the app again, I had to pay to use it. uninstalling it and reinstalling it did absolutely nothing. it was amazing while it lasted, but unfortunately, it did this to me (and others, apparently). oh well, at least I can get it free on YouTube and Spotify :/// ### 3/5 — Amazing but it’s too expensive *2019-12-31* I loved the app when I first got it. The sounds were really pretty and really helped me fall asleep and relax. I find that (and i’m sure a lot of other people do too) that it’s too much money to subscribe. You could make the free version locked away from a few things and make the monthly subscription thing cheaper and i’m sure you would get more customers. **Developer response:** Thank you, really happy to hear you like Soundly. All I know is I was being charged by Apple 2.99 all the time and finally figured out it was this stupid app dinging me left and right. I cancelled but it charged me again today and says my plan will cancel July 6. So I guess I’ll be charged 2.99 daily for another week. No way to stop immediately ??? ### 1/5 — AVOID!!! A MASSIVE RIP OFF!! *2021-07-09, version 1.8.8* That’s such poor form, charging $93 automatically for year if you don’t cancel the app. And the app isn’t that good, certainly not $93 good. Now that the creators put up a paywall, looks like I’m going to have to find a new app to use and love. Sorry! ### 1/5 — Worst app, limited sounds *2020-03-04* Don’t bother downloading this app, with their selection of sounds the app should be free. Not worth it at all. Additionally the company is shady, I downloaded the app for the 7 day free trial and they automatically charged me $60 the second I downloaded. I can’t get a hold of their support team and they do not respond when I asked for a refund because I didn’t want to use the app. **Developer response:** I think there's some misunderstanding, as we can't charge you directly, only Apple can and furthermore you must go through their authorisation process in order to be charged. And our support team are always on hand to help, please send an email to support@soundly.app. ### 1/5 — This app is a scam. *2020-02-13* I use white noise so I can fall asleep because it’s loud in my dorm. I thought this was a normal free white noise app, but apparently you get automatically signed up to a yearly $60 charge. I’ve only had this app for a few months and now I have to pay $60?! Not cool. I obviously wouldn’t have gotten it if I had known I’d be charged. I reached out to their email but didn’t get a response. Disappointed. **Developer response:** Charlotte, sorry for the misunderstanding but it is clearly stated both on the App Store and within the app when you first open it up that you are given a trial period, after which (and only if you activate the subscription with Apple) you will be charged for a yearly subscription unless you cancel it. Alternatively, you give you the option to bypass activation and simply get the trial period, with no automatic charge attached to it. I'm sorry to hear you weren't able to get a hold of our support team. I think there’s nothing wrong for wanting to be paid for the work you do but as a company I think it’s wrong to hard sell before providing value. It wouldn’t hurt to have an extremely limited lite version. Then the main complaint you get would be instantly put to rest. **Developer response:** I think there's some misunderstanding as you can try out Soundly completely for free for 7 days, no payment required, getting a chance to see what it has to offer and it's potential before committing to paying. ### 1/5 — Pointless *2019-12-17, version 1.7.4* I downloaded app and didn’t have the white noise sound I wanted. Deleted app same day and never used again. I had no idea the app cost 60$! Way over priced for what the app offers! Don’t be scammed like me. It helps me feel refreshed and calm. ### 5/5 — My new favorite *2021-01-16* I recently learned that my Pzizz subscription also works with this app, so I gave it a try and it’s already become my favorite. It’s fast to set up a “sleep soundtrack,” and they do help me fall asleep faster. So many options to choose from too! It’s well worth checking out! I do have a couple suggestions for changes. First, I’d love a favorite mix to be able to include a sequence of spoken tracks instead of just one. I’d love to be able to delay the start of the spoken track as well. ### 5/5 — Wonderful app *2020-06-17, version 1.7.9* This is exactly what I was looking for in an app for sleep, meditation, and focus. I tried their mesmerize app too but I found that I mostly enjoyed the sounds so this app works better for me. In particular focus music helps me study without getting distracted, unlike a Spotify playlist where I may get distracted to jump from song to song. Sometimes i feel like ripping her vocal cords out. This cancels out most of the noise and i would just fall asleep not knowing when it even stopped!!
