## What is Soundpost?

Some moments you don't want to photograph — you want to hear them again. The rain on the window. The cafe you loved. A voice you're afraid you'll forget.

Soundpost is an audio-first memory app. Capture up to a minute of how a moment actually sounds, and it becomes a beautiful, mood-tinted waveform card: sound + mood + place + one line. Your gallery of cards is a re-livable record of your life as it sounded — not just how it looked.

And when a moment feels like it belongs to later, you can seal a capsule to resurface on a date you choose: a postcard you send forward to your future self.

Honest by design: the seal is a gentle, on-device seal, not encryption. Your capsules back up to your own private iCloud and sync across your devices — nowhere else, and never to us. And we never charge you to open a memory you've already made.

### 1.6.0 — 2026-08-12

• Soundpost can now recognise everyday sounds — rain, birdsong, a train — so a capsule is easier to find months later. Search "rain" and your rainy mornings come back.
• After a recording, it offers what it heard as a suggestion for your one line. Take it or ignore it; nothing is ever filled in for you.
• The listening happens on your device — no audio is sent away to be analysed, and what it hears stays with the capsule, syncing only to your own private iCloud. You can turn listening off in Settings, which also erases what it already heard.

### 1.5.0 — 2026-08-07

• New in Pro: make it yours. Choose what each mood looks like, and how soon a surprise echo comes back.
• Colours you choose keep showing even if Pro lapses — Soundpost never changes how a memory you already made looks.
• As always, capturing, revealing, playing and exporting your own memories stay free.

### 1.4.0 — 2026-08-04

• New in Pro: turn a capsule into a short video — your card, with its waveform lighting up in time with the sound. Ready for Messages, a feed, or Stories.
• Fixed: shared cards were rendering too dark towards the bottom, which made the duration, the place and the "Made with Soundpost" mark hard to read.
• As always, capturing, revealing, playing and exporting your own memories stay free — nothing you have already made is ever locked.

### 1.3.0 — 2026-07-01

• Your capsules now back up to your private iCloud and sync across your devices — and come back when you reinstall.
• Sealed a capsule for years from now? Its reminder is now cloud-backed, so it can still reach you on the day — best-effort, and your recordings never leave your device; only the reminder travels.
• Reliability fixes and small refinements throughout.
