### 2/5 — A revoir

*2021-11-22*

### 4/5 — F n Amazing!

*2020-03-28, version 2.8.6*

Only reason I can’t give it 5 stars is because I haven’t been able to see how it interfaces with other apps or DAW’s,...yet. I can’t get off playing with it long enough to do so. This is creative as H! Just when I thought apps on iOS were starting to slow down on creativity, straight up WOW! 🤩

Ok forget it, I’m giving 5 unofficial stars down here for right now, when I finally get to interfacing,...officially 5!

### 2/5 — Crashes When Making Sounds

*2020-03-18, version 2.8.6*

Can be used as midi controller if set not to make sound.
Not updated in 2yrs is too long.
I’m on a 2018 iPad Pro
I’ll update this if they update the app.

### 4/5 — Missing the guitare instruments after in app purchase

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Well

*2024-08-02, version 2.9.2*

No updates

### 1/5 — Bait and switch

*2021-11-29, version 2.8.11*

Bait and switch. Not buying anything from you again

### 1/5 — Unstable

*2020-12-26, version 2.8.9*

Abandon-ware. Take the money and run developer. Nice bones of an app that works . . . sometimes.

### 1/5 — BROKE SINCE LAST UPDATE!

*2020-06-19, version 2.8.6*

While amazing, it just crashes whenever you go to record, and therefore is now entirely useless. Fix.

### 1/5 — Battery killer

*2019-07-05, version 2.8.6*

I was cleaning up some apps on my iPad recently and opened this for the first time since getting a new iPad some time back. I just “closed” it again, didn’t do anything with it, but it was still running in the background. My battery life them went to hell, with about 10% battery loss per hour even when I wasn’t using my iPad. Looking at my battery settings it’s clear this app was the cause.

### 1/5 — Crashing

*2019-05-19, version 2.8.6*

Constantly crashing on iPhone XR with iOS 12.2

### 1/5 — Not paying again for Link.

*2017-01-28, version 2.8.4*

I originally gave this a 5 star review, but I'm hesitant to reccomend this to anyone now. I Can't see how Link support is worth another 4.99. Whilst other developers have deemed it smart to add Ableton Link support to their existing apps for free, Audanika have decided it completely acceptable to introduce it as a totally seperate app,- and at a premium too. Another reviewer suggested seeing this addition as a IAP, but 4.99 is way too much for,- by modern standards,- an essential feature.

Use something else.

### 1/5 — Cash in, mugs wanted

*2017-01-11, version 2.8.4*

AudioBus support vanished with IOS 8, and the developers website has also disappeared. Not good.

Nic

### 1/5 — Doesn't work

*2016-09-18, version 2.8.4*

Crashes every single time I try to open. Just wasted 7 dollars. I would like a refund please.

### 1/5 — I thought you could create music in the app.

*2016-05-13, version 2.8.4*

I have found that you have to download music, and it's a lot more difficult to compose than I thought that it would be. I'm thoroughly disappointed.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Morning the death of a very good music tool

*2025-04-07, version 2.9.2*

07 April 2025: I am not sure what or why Grace Cloud has chosen to shove their Sound Prism Apps to the wayside in 2022. I still have them because they are INFINITELY more useful than the downgrade to Audanika which lacks the range of Sound Prism apps.

I see this downgrade as an action to put a music learning tool in the hands of children and having to pay for songs as extortionary when they do not seem to be added to. Thankfully, SoundPrism apps still work on iPadOS 18.5 despite Grace Cloud stating that the apps will no longer be supported after 2022.

Wake up, Grace Cloud !!. You are killing a good and very usable music tool in order to squeak out mony on a child’s dummy downed music tool with jukebox capability. What a freaking shame!

### 5/5 — Deceptively simple

*2023-01-10, version 2.9.2*

Still a useful tool when controlling other apps. Beautiful.

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2021-11-29, version 2.8.11*

Great Sounds

### 5/5 — Hey

*2020-08-24, version 2.8.7*

I donno if the dev reads these reviews or would be interested in adding any new feature requests. But this app allows me to control my piano app, and makes me play like a concert pianoist, seriously.

Except there is a couple things I can't do which would be so easy with this app, if I could change the way it behaves...

Edit: I got mozaic, which allowed me to write a custom midi script to control the midi output from soundprism. With both apps, I can make soundprism have any arpeggios I want. Very happy!

### 5/5 — More sounds? Great app

*2020-06-19, version 2.8.6*

This is a great app, I have purchased the pro version, but I’d like to get more sounds? How do I do this? Also, what’s different in The Electro version?

### 5/5 — Producer

*2020-04-10, version 2.8.6*

This app is great for writing All types music if you know what you doing and the midi with your vst PRICELESS!!!!!!! Love this app.banm333

### 5/5 — Really great sounding

*2020-04-01, version 2.8.6*

I’d love more range/instruments and midi depth even a basic recorder/looper would be super but it’s just so nice for what it does.

### 5/5 — Best hands down

*2019-12-08, version 2.8.6*

I’ve been using sound prism on all my previous generation iPads. The beauty of Soundprism is that it is perfect for the musician and the musician at heart. No need for extensive musical knowledge .Just play .It is intuitive enough to develop a understanding unique to you of the layout .The best thing about this app is the “immediacy” of creation. You are able to stretch out your hands ,and just touch the screen and your already getting ideas..and then your off to the races! This app has rarely if ever left my desktop.A recommendation for novice and journeyman alike..
bon appetite!!

### 5/5 — Best ever

*2019-08-29, version 2.8.6*

This is my favorite of all time apps. I use it all the time PLEASE keep supporting!! I'll pay anything!!

### 5/5 — Amazing controller

*2019-07-02, version 2.8.6*

I use this for hours a day I could go on and on with all the great things I could say, I will however be honest in saying my primary purpose in writing this review is in hopes the developer will see it, I would really love if it was possible to add the ability to transpose octaves mainly down. When using this to control certain things say for instance the bass touch instrument in GarageBand the majority of the available notes are unnaturally high sounding and I have to have the bottom control that adds the octaves selected to try and combat this. I hope you know what I’m talking about the controls immediately to the right of the arrows that select the notes being sharp or flat. I don’t know how else to describe it but basically it’s either play notes way higher than I want or have it sound like an octave pedal is connected which most of the time is fine it would just be nice to have the choice to play lower notes other than that amazing app.
