## What is SoundRelief by Lios?

SoundRelief by Lios is a tinnitus sound therapy and management app developed by and for people who suffer from permanent tinnitus.

Sound therapy is a type of sensory training aimed at modifying the brain signals associated with tinnitus. Two-thirds of people who use SoundRelief on a daily basis will experience a reduction in their tinnitus within the first month. This was proven in a clinical study of 300 people.

SoundRelief provides an option for those looking to try a non-invasive treatment at no initial cost from the comfort of their own home.

Within the app, you can track your tinnitus level each day along with your sleep and stress levels. From this, you can see how they and other elements affect each other. Through tracking, you can clearly see your improvement as you use SoundRelief.

Each SoundRelief plan comes with a free 7-day trial so you get to see what it is like and how it works for you.

### 1/5 — Premium subscription required

*2022-10-02, version 2.0.10*

No features are available without a subscription - this should be clear on the app description page not after registration

### 2/5 — Use it for the journal feature

*2018-01-10*

Would never pay the amount they're asking for the premium service. It seems extremely high. It seems a lot of these companies and developers are not compassionate towards the sufferers themselves, and are just trying to profit off of something that scientists and researchers haven't figured out yet. Just look at the exorbitant rates these companies charge for hearing aids!

There are plenty of "tinnitus relief" aids available for free online. Yoυ just have to find what suits yoυ. Yoυ have to have a whole lot of patience to try one of them and not give up, and none of them have proven to be effective.

I am continuing to use this APP for the journal feature. I like how I can track my tinnitus to see if there is a trend among good days and bad days, and keep notes on what may have triggered it.

I don't like how the APP says "syncing therapy" each time I use it. I have to wait for it to finish before I make a journal entry, and this can take several minutes. It's frustrating especially since I only want to use the journal.

The picture of the woman at the bottom trying to sell the therapy service was also a turn-off, but that appears to be gone now after the 7-day trial is over.

It would be nice if there was a way to get rid of the "please upgrade your subscription in settings" ad at the top. I would pay 3.99 just to get rid of that and the syncing feature!

Other than that, it's a good APP. The journal is the best part. I can't find anything else like it.

### 2/5 — Should not Require Headphones

*2017-02-28*

I was excited to try this app using my made for iphone hearing aids, however unable because the app "requires" headphones to be plugged in to work. Cant really give a rating.

**Developer response:** Hi, Paul. Thanks for your review! You can use over ear headphones, these work best for hearing aids. Unfortunately, the therapy does not work as well without headphones. I hope that you'll try out the app again in future.

### 1/5 — Register

*2015-12-26, version 1.0.1*

I echo the statement...I can't register...what utter rubbish. The previous comment was listed in November but no amendment has been actioned.
