## What is SourceShelf?

Turn PDFs, scans, and webpages into clean local Markdown — then ask questions across the research you choose.

SourceShelf is a private research library for iPhone and iPad. Capture useful webpages from Safari, import PDFs, images, RTF, Markdown, and text, organize sources into reusable Packs, search locally, and keep saved research available offline.

Ask questions about a saved Pack directly inside SourceShelf. On supported Apple Intelligence devices, Ask This Pack uses Apple’s on-device foundation model with the sources you selected as context.

PDF & IMAGE TO MARKDOWN

Import text-based PDFs directly or use on-device OCR for scanned PDFs and images. Recognized text becomes searchable and can be read, organized, exported, or used with Ask This Pack.

SAVE WEB RESEARCH

Use the Safari extension to capture useful webpages as local Markdown. Bring web research into the same library as your documents, then combine related sources in a focused Pack.
