Unfortunately all the ads, usually with videos, cause it to continuously lock up. It’s like running a 2023 game on Windows 95. The sliders are static and the ads are a pain. Upgraded to v1.3 ... still very slow to respond. ### 1/5 — Operates Extremely Slow *2022-03-23* Using iPhone 11, iOS 15.4, after I begin entering data the response to my entry become extremely slow. Why not 5 stars? well, it's the ads. It would be great if the developer provided an option for add-free for a small fee. Otherwise, congratulations to the developer for functional simplicity! ### 4/5 — Cool tool for sourdough *2021-01-20, version 1.1.1* I’m going to try this, but I would love to be able to set the hydration % and for it to tell me the water weight needed. Especially good if I’m doing an odd number of loaves. I like getting the weight of resulting loaves the most so it can balance variable leaven rates that I move around depending on temperature. I guess another cool feature might be to be able to juggle multiple different loaf prep? If you were looking for things to do? Thanks! I really appreciate the app. ### 5/5 — Grest app *2025-12-01* This has completely changed my sourdough game. I’ve realized that 72% hydration is the sweet spot for me as a beginner — every loaf comes out perfect and consistent. The real key is having a very active starter. I feed mine twice a day. Also, this app doesn’t charge anything, which I love. With my 7.5-quart Dutch oven, I bake a double loaf, and it fills the pot perfectly. It’s no frills but that’s why it appeals to me. Don’t forget to save your notes progress or you’ll lose them like I did! I double checked 4 different hydrations and it was right on…some aside it was slow. On my iPad it’s instant response…it does exactly what I want…fast simple hydration calculator, also saves all this with you cook temp and times… I like it much so far.
