## What is SousCard?

Clip. Save. Cook. · SousCard is a recipe keeper and digital recipe box for people who would rather cook than scroll.

Every recipe you save becomes the same clean card: ingredients first, method below, no life story, no pop-ups, no auto-playing video. Your recipes live on your iPhone or iPad, in a layout you can read at a glance from across the kitchen.

Four ways to add a recipe
· Clip a link: A recipe saver for the web. Paste a URL, or share the page to SousCard straight from Safari or any browser, and the recipe is rebuilt as a clean, consistent, easy-to-read recipe card.
· Take a photo: The built-in recipe scanner reads a cookbook or magazine page, or a page of the family recipe book, right on your iPhone or iPad.
· Import a PDF: Point to a local file or one on your cloud drive, and import your favourites into the same SousCard format.
· Type it: A purpose-built ingredient editor with real fractions (1/2, 1/3, 3/4), quick unit picking, and mixed metric and imperial in the same recipe.

Every clipping pauses at a review screen before it saves, highlighting anything uncertain, and asks you to check it. The same purpose-built ingredient editor handles corrections there, and any time you want to change something later.

Cook Mode, built for the countertop
· Large, high-contrast type you can read from three feet away, one step at a time, with cook times and temperatures highlighted for easy at-a-glance viewing, and ingredients pinned for continuous reference.
· Buttons big enough for floury hands.
· The screen stays awake while you cook.

A recipe organizer that stays focused on keeping your recipe box clutter-free and searchable
· A simple recipe manager: search across titles and ingredients. Tag by meal type, cuisine and dietary need, and filter by any combination of them.
· Add your own photo to a card. Keep your own notes on what you changed and what worked. Your whole recipe collection, in one recipe book you actually own.

Private by construction
· A recipe app with no account. No sign-up, no password, no email address. Your recipes, your data.
· No servers of ours. Recipe scanning and text recognition run on your device.
· No ads, no interruptions.
· No tracking. Anonymous feature usage analytics, never your recipes, and you can turn them off.
· Works with the network off, apart from clipping a web page.

Your recipe box is a file on your device, included in your iCloud backup.

SousCard exists because recipe websites got worse. It's your recipe keeper, not a feed.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.3.2 — 2026-10-07

SousCard is now on the App Store.
Every recipe you love, in one box that's yours. Clip a link, snap a page, drop in a PDF, or type it in and it becomes a clean card: just the recipe, none of the scrolling.
Then prop up your iPhone or iPad and cook. Cook Mode keeps the step you're on big and readable, ingredients right there, screen kept on. On an iPad your Recipe Box is a grid of cards, and a recipe opens in two columns.

· *New*: Share a recipe. Tap Share from within the Card, and send it through Messages, Mail, and more. Photo, notes and tags included. One tap and it opens in their own SousCard, regardless of the type of phone they have. It just works.
· Fix: iPads sometimes ran into issues trying to add an image to a recipe.

No account. No ads. No tracking. No personal info. Works offline. Details in our privacy policy.
