### 2/5 — SB Tribune

*2024-08-08, version 7.11.2*

The app is unreliable. I am an annual subscriber and I am getting frustrated with it reliability of my reading the tribune. I do not have trouble with the other two digital newspaper subscriptions that I have, namely, The NY Times and Washington Post. I want to keep informed on local events but not if I must experience frustration accessing it.

### 2/5 — App response

*2024-07-15, version 7.10.0*

The app is slow to respond making reading the paper unpleasant.

### 5/5 — South Bend Tribune

*2024-01-28, version 7.5.1*

This app is great ! I moved from South Bend after living there for years. I still have family in South Bend so I use this app to read about the weather, Notre Dame Sports, obituaries, and other changes to the city. This app is easy to navigate and use . It really helps to keep me in the know about my hometown.

### 1/5 — New online version is poor

*2024-01-18, version 7.5.1*

Some pages load blurry. Often, the eNewspaper doesn’t load at all.

### 1/5 — Update is awful

*2023-12-01, version 7.5.1*

We read on our iPads. Not only are we now getting pop up ads, but we cannot read the paper by turning our iPad horizontally. There is a large, blank white space next to the newspaper page.

### 5/5 — Enjoying

*2023-11-03, version 7.3.2*

I enjoy being able to keep up with news from my hometown!

### 1/5 — Nothing but sports

*2023-10-15, version 7.3.2*

If you are looking for anything other than sports, look elsewhere. Very little content about he community or local government.

### 2/5 — SBT new format

*2023-09-12, version 7.3.1*

Absolutely hate it. If I want to read USA, I’ll go to USA. Wish I had the option to return to the former format.

### 1/5 — So Bend Tribune

*2023-03-19, version 7.0.4*

The app doesn’t even know when I’ll as a subscriber have signed in.

### 1/5 — So Bend Tribune

*2022-11-23, version 6.12.5*

The app doesn’t even know when I’ll as a subscriber have signed in.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Useless

*2025-12-06, version 8.6.0*

Cannot log into my account so can’t use it. Even SB Tribune tech support couldn’t log in.

### 1/5 — Bias

*2025-06-15, version 8.1.0*

The South Bend Tribune has become a flagship for the Democratic Party and its Management is overwhelmingly bias to the left, disappointing, as in the past SBT was more in the middle, SBT can do better.

### 1/5 — Terrible for a phone

*2025-05-24, version 8.1.0*

The app doesn’t allow for screen rotation, so you’re forced to read in portrait mode on a phone. The old app rotated. This one is awful. Zero stars.

### 1/5 — New app

*2025-05-03, version 8.1.0*

Idiots put out an app that requires you to upgrade your iSO which older iPads do not support so you need to spend $500 on a new iPad. Why not keep the old one available for those that are not able to upgrade to download the app? Take you star and you know the rest.

### 1/5 — The Good old Days

*2025-04-02, version 8.1.0*

How do I get back to my previous app? All I want to do is read the “paper “.

### 1/5 — Again!

*2024-08-31, version 7.11.2*

The tech service used by Gannett again today does not allow reader to access a newspaper formatted publication to go from page to page.

Get ur act together! Otherwise I’ll simply go to other websites to get most of the news.

Annoying. Unpleasant. And very unprofessional!

### 1/5 — Clunky navigation

*2024-07-07, version 7.10.0*

Use the app on my iPad.

Awkward functionality.

Biggest pain is when changing the page, it does not go to the top of the new page. If you’re on the bottom of page 1 then you are sent to the bottom of page 2. Very poor functionality.

### 1/5 — Still Currently problematic … ongoing …

*2024-06-27, version 7.10.0*

Difficult to report APP problems.

Have reported several times already.

Photos are not loading Can’t scroll past the first page in obituary section.

I’ve deleted and reloaded a few times … no change.

Using iPhone SE3 iOS 17.5.1 with 120Mbps WiFi.

After first report and an update, it worked well once, then stopped working the very next time I logged in … fix didn’t work

### 1/5 — Worst of all

*2024-03-16, version 7.6.1*

Of all the available newspaper apps I read (NYT, WSJ, USAT), the=is one is far and wide the worst.

### 1/5 — My opinion on this app

*2024-01-26, version 7.5.1*

This app will not allow me access to the online services I PAY FOR EVERY MONTH!!!!!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — E edition...Bring it back!!

*2026-03-05, version 8.8.1*

Where did the E edition go? The current S.B.Tribune app is not worth downloading! What was wrong with the previous app? The previous app was easier and less complicated to use. I felt like I was reading a regular newspaper.

### 5/5 — South Bend Tribune

*2025-09-04, version 8.1.0*

I enjoy the South Bend tribune e-newspaper. The SB Tribune has always been on top of breaking news, local news & information, plus a nice dose of feel good stories.

### 5/5 — SBT new format

*2025-07-17, version 8.1.0*

Absolutely hate it. If I want to read USA, I’ll go to USA. Wish I had the option to return to the former format.

### 5/5 — Revised app

*2025-04-04, version 8.1.0*

Please put the old e-edition back up. This version does not suit our needs. With delivery of actual newspaper being inconsistent the e-edition was nice. We’ve been subscribers of the South Bend tribune for close to 40 and if things don’t improve will probably have to cancel our subscription. Thank you Roger McKinney Note: our star rating would be no stars

### 5/5 — You have ruined your app!

*2025-04-02, version 8.1.0*

When I’m out of town I want to see the obits. Where are the obits??? Weather?? App not worth it. Boooo!

### 5/5 — E Edition

*2025-04-02, version 8.1.0*

What happened to the E Edition viewing option? ( the actual newspaper page by page)

### 5/5 — Keeping Informed

*2025-04-01, version 8.1.0*

With the E-Edition I get to read everything from small town papers (Sturgis), to metro editions (South Bend Tribune & Detroit Free Press) to national (USA Today). These are trustworthy sources! It’s nice to have information you can trust!

### 5/5 — We e

*2024-06-20, version 7.10.0*

### 5/5 — South Bend page
