It never recognizes the bar codes on scratch tickets. We always have to use my brother in laws phone (Android) to actually get the app to scan the scratch tickets properly. I uninstalled and installed app, keep updated, tickets flat, barcode clear of scratch off material, try flash on-flash off, lens clear, change distance of tickets. Should bring back manual entry for scratch tickets. To no avail the red line just keeps blinking No barcode captured. :( IDK WHAT ELSE TO DO??! Please help! It’s a nightmare scanning scratch tickets in the app, where the QR reader never seems to work. It’s a pain to enter a second chance with a QR reader. It’s also 2026, and we can’t buy Powerball, Lucky for Life, or Dakota Cash tickets through the app. Many improvements could be made not only to increase user engagement but also to refine the buying experience. ### 1/5 — Sucky app *2025-12-28* You would think with such poor reviews the developer would improve the app. Works slow when it does. Initially this app was difficult but it has gotten so much better with time. Typically you can’t scan tickets to see if they are winners once the evening drawing has happened. It doesn’t allow you to check the winners until winners following day. Looks like an update just happened but now it gives an error message when you submit for the second chance drawings. The camera is working and it scans the ticket and then says “sorry - exception: internal server error” it’s disappointing since that’s the only way to enter. **Developer response:** We apologize for the inconvenience. It will say the ticket was successfully submitted but I can’t close the pop up message. This morning (Oct 22) I was scanning tickets I bought for several different lotto games and they were all “Not a winner” according to this app so I pitched the tickets into my garbage. My spouse then said something about the draw dates and I pulled the tickets back out and found that the MegaMillions draw date is actually Oct 24…. It hasn’t happened yet!!
