I’ve no other apps running, have plenty of space, latest iOS etc and have tried 4 times and it fails. It is clearly a problem that JOMO should fix but they haven’t bothered. Lucky I went for a single area rather than a more expensive bundle. Waste of my time and now need to get Apple to refund me. If JOMO care they’ll apologise for this rubbish experience and FIX the problem. **Developer response:** Sorry to read you’re having a problem with the install. Killing all other apps running in the background normally works round the fault. You could try a ‘hard reset’ before another install attempt. Unfortunately, the fault is Apple’s responsible to fix. If the hard reset doesn’t resolve your issue then you might want to request a refund from Apple. ### 1/5 — Won’t download/ load *2020-08-09* Tried so many times but it won’t load. So really have no idea how good it is. **Developer response:** Please “kill” all running apps and retry. This is a reliable workaround to a known problem. ### 2/5 — Good but search field does not work *2019-04-01* Have the whole set but you can't enter the Q search field box in any one of these. Must be a bug. Using iPhone 6s Plus and iOS 10.3. Don't know if it works on other phone models or iOS systems? ### 2/5 — Download probs! *2015-08-24* Unfortunately unable to download this app after many attempts? Such a pity as potentially looks great😕 **Developer response:** Thanks for taking the time to write a review. If you still have problems installing, we suggest you perform an "iOS hard reset", verify you have sufficient storage space available and try again using a good quality WiFi service. ### 3/5 — KEY? *2021-01-15* What’s the point of a map without a key? What do the symbols, abbreviations and various broken lines represent? More info please. If Ordnance Survey put it on their maps why can’t you. **Developer response:** Thanks for taking the time to write a review and for the constructive feedback. We'll ask our developers to include a key within the user guide included within a app. ### 3/5 — App okay but it keeps bugging you for a review *2019-05-06* The app is okay apart from it keep asking you to review it. On the tenth or so request I decided to oblige. Could be improved by reducing the amount of such requests and secondary having the option to display the height in the crosshairs like UKMaps does. **Developer response:** Thanks for the review. You can reduce the frequency the app asks for a review by not “killing” it. If the app is left idle in the background the counter controlling the request frequency is not reset. In this case the frequency reduces the more the app is used. Thanks for the suggestion for improvement. We’ll take it into consideration. 😀 ### 5/5 — Really good OS app *2021-01-27* Really good app. Perfect for allowing you to plan routes and get you out of trouble when you’re lost. Would thoroughly recommend. ### 5/5 — Great App *2017-10-07* I must say that these apps are great. So good as I have bought the entire collection due to their price and quality. Price: excellent value in bundles or on their own. Quality: I work in the outdoor industry and where I am in the Brecon Beacons I am finding physical footpaths marked on Joni maps when they are not even marked on OS 25 or 50,000. How can this be I don’t know? This also applies to ultra small ponds and other features. Also easy to import routes using your iphone via your Mac desktop folder connection. Sometimes they don’t show the detail I want in regard to fields and borders but in the main I think it is the best app out there...superb! **Developer response:** Thanks for the positive feedback. Its always pleasing to heat from happy customers. The footpath data is sourced from @OpenStreetMap contributors and as such may have inconsistencies with OS defined footpaths. ### 5/5 — Highly useful *2017-03-30* Love this app. I'm going to get more from the series. Well done. I recommend. ### 5/5 — Great offline Ordnance Survey maps *2016-10-13* These are the best detailed maps out there. As you zoom in the detail increases right the way down to 1:10k - and the maps are offline too so you can take them with you wherever you are. The route/waypoint creation is by far the best of all the similar apps I've downloaded. The comprehensive search and hill details is amazing too with every detail of every hill covered (I've not found a hill that's not included). ## Most praised reviews (3 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Great App from great collection *2016-10-01* The map detail combined with GPS and the excellent new route planning functionality (including gpx import/export) make this app a very useful aid to a traditional map and compass. 5* 👍👍👍👍👍 ### 5/5 — South Downs Maps *2016-05-11* Best map app out there. Because you download the map to phone, its very smooth to use. If you haven't already done so you can update free of charge to the latest version and take advantage of many new features. ### 5/5 — Not a Penguin *2015-08-25* I love this app. I originally stumbled across it whilst searching for JOMO the Penguin but to my great delight when I found this app. It gives me the ability to navigate the South Downs even when I don't have a connection.
