### 2/5 — Hate the new version

*2026-06-19, version 5.001*

It always freezes and the schedule is hard to look at? It’s not appealing at all. I truly hate it

### 2/5 — The new app barely works now

*2026-05-15, version 5.001*

More often than not, trying to pull up the schedules you’ll be met with a “load failed” message. I end up having to go on the website to check the schedule. It used to work great. Now, not so much.

### 4/5 — Love it, Wish Apple Pay Option

*2026-05-08, version 5.001*

App works Great. Just wish Apple Pay was Option. Just would simplify purchase of tickets.

### 3/5 — Schedule update is a downgrade

*2026-05-08, version 5.001*

The new update to the schedule page is a very clunky web-embedded interface that is vastly inferior to the previous version. In fact, it does not even load at all for me, just providing errors.

### 2/5 — New update not the best

*2026-04-10, version 5.001*

Simple app that’s very straightforward and easy to use. However, the new train schedule layout is awful- not user friendly at all. Hoping they go back to how the schedule was originally.

### 3/5 — Terribly Updated Schedules Page

*2026-04-06, version 5.001*

The app had worked perfectly before this update. However, changing the Schedules page to this clunky, annoying, and frankly less helpful Trip Planner page is infuriating, to say the least. I hope this is a temporary change.

### 2/5 — Was bad enough, now worse

*2026-04-06, version 5.001*

This app was slow enough before the last major update. Now it’s almost unusable.

At least with the previous version I could do a schedule search and the app would keep the results. This was nice in case I closed the app and needed to look again. And reversing the trip was as easy as tapping the arrows button between source and destination.

Now, when I try to look at the schedule, I need to start over each time. What makes it even worse is that the spinning Loading wheel never goes away rendering the schedule page, and the app overall, useless

### 2/5 — Update sucks

*2026-04-03, version 5.001*

The schedule was so simple and user friendly before. It’s complicated and clunky now. Too many steps & too much scrolling just to see the schedule. Blah.

### 3/5 — Train schedule

*2026-03-31, version 5.001*

I don’t like the new schedule.
Having to enter a origin and destination each time is a waste
I also prefer the grid to help me plan what train I am taking
Hard to use

### 4/5 — New schedules, less convenient

*2026-03-30, version 5.001*

The app is overall very useful, though it’s missing some features that others have already pointed out—like biometric authentication—so I won’t dwell on those here.

My main concern is with the latest update. In adding the Monon corridor, the app replaced the previously convenient schedule view with the Trip Planner. This feels like a step backward. The new interface is clunky, especially if you just want to quickly see all available train times. It also resets selected locations when switching between screens or leaving and returning to the app, which is frustrating.

Another issue is how difficult it is to find updates on delayed trains. Having to dig through submenus to locate this information is very inconvenient. For something this important, it really should be much more prominently displayed.

I’m hoping these changes are temporary and that the more straightforward schedule view—and better visibility for delay updates—return in a future update.

### 1/5 — Payment

*2025-12-16, version 4.140*

Can’t make payments online

### 3/5 — I wish

*2025-12-07, version 4.140*

I wish I could recommend the S Shore. We've used it in the past for family trips from South Bend to Chicago. If you've got time (it's slow) only need to go to museums or downtown, and can deal with limited schedules it's fine. But... This week I had a critical appointment in Chicago and the train was delayed because of mechanical problems. Fortunately it was before leaving SBend so I was able get back in my car and drive to Chicago. Very relieved that it didn't happen midway. Just know that you don't want to rely on it for anything important.

### 3/5 — South Shore great ride but.,,

*2025-10-13, version 4.140*

South Shore RR is a wonderful resource, but with the new double track expansion, the customer service has decreased especially by not allowing all trains to board at Carrol Station. All conductors and carman get on/off there but passengers and trains have been limited since the switch. I have contacted them multiple times with zero response. Carrol Station is a much easier place to get to and park for users coming from the north.

### 1/5 — Skips Gary, Indiana from the Airport

*2026-07-28, version 5.001*

I work nights over in South Bend, Indiana at a company worth over a trillion dollars and this train decides to skip Gary, IN in the morning. I have to ride three trains now just to get home. I refused to buy a monthly pass worth $375 because of that. They are attempting to make me wait an extra three hours at an airport just to get off at my stop at the Municipal Field.

### 1/5 — Monon Update Worst

*2026-06-20, version 5.001*

When the app was updated to include the Monon corridor, the schedule became harder to read and use. The app no longer remembers selections or scrolls to the relevant times.

### 1/5 — They ruined it

*2026-06-08, version 5.001*

The recent upgrade essentially renders the app useless. You have to buy round trip tickets before you can see the return trip schedule. It’s worse than Amtrak and that’s not saying much.

### 1/5 — did yall use AI for this update??

*2026-04-21, version 5.001*

what the hell??? why is everything so confusing? the app did not need to be updated it was fine. simple. straight to the point. now it’s completely unusable

### 1/5 — New schedules

*2026-04-15, version 5.001*

make the schedule the same way it was just a few weeks ago, the way it is now is impossible to understand and entirely inconvenient.

### 1/5 — Updated version isn’t user friendly

*2026-04-14, version 5.001*

The new version’s schedule view is clunky, slow, and not efficient anymore. A simple overview of the day’s train schedule was perfect. Now it takes quite a while to look at what the schedule is based on where I am and where I’m going.

### 1/5 — Clunky UI

*2026-04-01, version 5.001*

The new schedule UI is a big miss. The old version was much better. Since the update, there’s no way to get a quick overview of the schedule. You have to select the departure and arrival stations every time you want to view it and then scroll through a long list of schedules instead of seeing it all at once. As someone who uses this app on a daily basis, this will be a huge pain point until it’s either reversed or improved.

### 1/5 — Late

*2026-02-04, version 4.140*

The trains have ben late every day and unusually crowded as well as a result

### 1/5 — Unreliable

*2026-01-26, version 4.140*

Train skips without warning. As in, they literally don’t show up. Sometimes the map lies and shows a train moving through your location while you are standing at the platform without a train in sight.

### 1/5 — Sucks

*2025-12-30, version 4.140*

Unusable
