Tells me I have more than I do. And doesn’t update purchases or anything as fast as it should. Additionally I’ve yet to successfully deposit a check with the new system where you have to write “For Mobile Deposit Only for Southside Bank” even with my girlfriend printing it out that specific part. ### 3/5 — Southside Review *2024-11-21* It’s a pretty good app. It does what you need. Like all big banks it is a trade off. I hate that it will not let you reuse nicknames. Takes way too long to get one not used. As most things today it does what “they” want it to do and need it to do. It is certainly nothing special, the bank either. I would not recommend the bank or the app, but am too lazy to move to a smaller, more home town local bank like used to be. In 2024 I will say the same thing. I am just too lazy to change banks. Cannot focus the camera, every image will come out blurry. It’s a one in fifty shot you will be able to make a deposit through the app. This has been an issue for a year and a half now and it’s a waste of my time and the clerks at the bank when I explain to them what has happened. Three times I cancelled payments and they were not cancelled even though I received confirmation numbers. Then, to top it off I requested funds to be transferred to an outside account, my account was credited for this transfer but funds were not transferred. ### 1/5 — Slow processing bank *2022-10-02, version 20.0.5724* This use to be a very good internet bank when it was OmniAmerican Bank but it bought out Southside bank and uses their banking software. It’s slow to process debits and deposits. Nothing gets done on the weekends. If Friday or Monday is a holiday you’re looking at 4 days of nothing. I would change banks if I could. First National Banks website where I also bank is even worse. No Zelle there. At least SSB now has Zelle! ### 1/5 — Review App *2019-06-08, version 13.1.5412* This app frequently fails to preform. A variety of error messages often occur. The basic app itself feels and seems several generations behind competitors. I love Southside and my local branch. I have considered changing banks after many years (10 plus) because of the problems with the app and website in general. What a shame! Please upgrade!!!!! 6-8-19 update to review Still experiencing problems loading consistently. Error message “failed to load renter login information. I’ve removed and reinstalled app. Am careful when I enter data. Some days I can’t login at all trying numerous times during the day. I spoke with Sr Mgr who was in charge of the app and the vendor who supply’s it. He was cking things out and was supposed to get back to me and I have not heard from him. ### 1/5 — Absolutely TERRIBLE *2019-05-01* The app is absolutely infuriating! It makes me want to throw my phone across the room it’s so aggravating! Half of the time you can’t login! It will give you an authentication error which is not a wrong password but like the system just couldn’t login. Or it will login but then it will just sit there and load forever and never get to your info. Online deposit is a nightmare! I own a business in which I deposit quite a few checks every month. I finally gave up using the app and just started going to the bank because you will get one error or another and by the time I finally get all of the checks deposited I could have driven to the bank and back....literally!!! **Developer response:** We suggest getting with the business online services for Smart deposit instead of the regular mobile deposit services. We have done an online maintenance yesterday to address the issues.
