Case in point: some translations make reference to the virgin, I suspect the term should be "the motherland"...in an anti-religious Russia use of "the virgin" is obviously incorrect. The posters, however, are very interesting. ### 3/5 — Intriguing! *2012-05-09, version 1.1* This app delivers a fascinating look at old Soviet era propaganda posters. The artwork is predominantly of an industrial style and often shows the Soviet worker as a heroic figure. The wartime posters are particularly interesting as the Nazis are depicted as grotesque humanoid forms. Some of the translations of the poster texts seem like they are literally transcribed and lack the spirit of the message. Some posters don't make much sense in regards to the message, probably because they were topical at the time and have little relevance today.
