### 5/5 — Amazing Game (glitch in level 26)

*2023-12-12*

I absolutely love the graphics in this game and many of the mechanics are so fun and unique. That being said, directly after the second checkpoint in level 26, there is a button that cannot be activated by the character or block, leaving the player stuck. I love this game and want to keep playing but I can’t pass the level due to this glitch. Please fix!

**Developer response:** Thank you for a review and your feedback. The issue is already fixed - there was a visual bug - now there are two doors that you need to unlock to proceed. :)

### 5/5 — Fantastic piece of work

*2023-12-08*

This game is what a platformer should be. The movement is smooth and precise, making sure youre in control at all times. As you progress, things get more difficult. I see some people saying its TOO difficult. Thats not true. First off, a good platformer IS difficult. It should be otherwise its boring. And too difficult? No. Thats more likely a skill issue. I enjoy the art style. Each level is different from the last. The dialogue is witty and fun. This is a well deserved 5 stars.

**Developer response:** Thank you for such a great review! I'm happy you like Space Intern! :)

### 5/5 — Level 13 bug

*2023-12-06*

I found a visual bug on level 13, when dropping down from the platforms with the snails, if you touch the right wall on the 2nd platform the camera moves to a different part of the map

**Developer response:** Thank you for the review and your feedback!
Could you send me a video of the issue (contact@oakygames.com) - I can't reproduce it. :)

### 5/5 — Yes!!!!

### 5/5 — Love the game but too hard

*2023-11-29*

I really love this game but sometimes it’s too hard to go into the next level!!!spent too much time to play it!

**Developer response:** Thank you for the 5 star review! I'm happy you like Space Intern!
I'd be grateful for the info which levels were hard for you - I'll do my best to improve the experience! My contact email is contact@oakygames.com

### 5/5 — It should be more popular.

*2023-11-27*

I know it just got released, but it’s actually such a good game, especially for being a mobile game. The sound design is great, I love the music for each different world, the graphics are good and cute, I like how weird the dialogue is. It’s basically a mobile version of Celeste. It’s obviously not as complicated as Celeste, but it’s surprising more difficult and longer than I expected it to be. 10/10 mobile game. Highly recommend it.

### 5/5 — Amazing Game! Please Make More!

*2023-11-27*

This is an awesome game. It plays great with touch controls but is perfect with a controller.

Thank you for making a great game!

**Developer response:** Thank you! I'm happy you like Space Intern!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Glitch

*2023-11-23*

Glitch on ads for level 4. Ad won’t clear and if you quit the app it clears your progress for level 4

### 2/5 — Janky

*2023-12-16*

Side to side motion is really problematic. Sometimes the character will randomly stop moving even though I’m still holding my thumb in the same place.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your review and your feedback. I'll look at it ;)

### 3/5 — Unseen danger and bad controls.

*2023-11-24*

Sometimes this game seems like a troll level straight out of Mario Maker with how much stuff is always perfectly out of view to the point where it seems like it was designed to kill you by predicting your movement through common logic. A lot of these moments come from the platforms you can pass through. I knew I had to say something in a review right after I was killed by passing through a platform and landing on a bounce pad that was completely out of view that boosted me right into the moving spike boxes right above. I get that it’s meant to be your way to be able to go back up for the return trip, but it’s so terribly positioned. As I said, it’s like a troll that’s predicting that if you were to drop down in the most logical spot at the middle of the platform then you’ll be bounced right back up to your death. Nobody’s first instinct is to always choose to drop through the platforms on either the left or right sides, especially since there are spike boxes about to move in to kill you if you don’t drop through right away. Of course you may end up moving to the side anyways because the decision to give this game a joystick was a bad one because even left and right directions are hard to use. There could just be buttons instead considering how there’s no eased movement system where if you have the joystick closer to the center it would move you in the direction at a slower speed. The way to pass down through a platform could also be majorly simplified by just having a button to do it, preferably next to or possibly above the jump button, which would free up having to specifically try to go downwards with the left thumb and also because you won’t be jumping at the same time anyways so you’re right thumb only needs to do one or the other. You’re always just a little bit off from aiming perfectly downwards to be able to drop through a platform. When you're trying not to die when you’re really pressed to get a move on by the platform and obstacle timings and can’t always take the time to make absolute sure that you’re in crouching position you may even press the jump button to try to pass through the platform but end up actually jumping up and missing your chance to dodge an obstacle, dying instead. I was excited by this games appearance because it bore a striking resemblance to Dadish, a different mobile platforming game that I adore, because the art style, the animations, the humorous concept, and the level design seemed quite similar so I hoped the controls were just as good as Dadish. It’s easy to play a game like Dadish because whenever I die it’s easy to admit that it was my own fault that lead to my death but when playing Space Intern there are way too many unintentional inputs combined with the unnecessarily predatory level design that you can’t even see when it’s off screen.

These two problems can easily take off 2 stars from a perfect review because they’re such a core gameplay feature. Playing through the rest of the game with the same controls I’ve had to endure so far sounds soul rending. I certainly don’t want to ask for the levels to be completely redesigned but please do something like changing it so that the camera moves more dynamically by panning or zooming out to see things that are off screen, move the position of those predatory off screen bounce pads/saws/enemies/lasers, and let us move through the levels with concise button controls instead of a finicky joystick.

### 3/5 — Space intern

*2023-11-22*

This game was randomly downloaded to my phone so I played it , loved it, how the little guys and intern and nobody ever probably went through his type of training, I would have given five stars though if the controls wasn’t so bad, killed me so many times because the controls just aren’t good!

**Developer response:** The fix for control input issues is available now. Let me know if it's better and if it could increase your rating :)
Edit: I just added a d-pad control, please, let me know if it improves your experience :)

### 3/5 — Fun game and concept. Controls need addressing

*2023-11-22*

I’m starting into the game, and I’m really enjoying what the game is aiming to accomplish. The puzzles, setting, art style, etc. are really fun and engaging.

BUT, the controls are really unresponsive and can lead to some frustration. If the touch controls can get tightened up, this game will be an easy 4-5 stars. As it stands now, it’s fun. But be ready to get frustrated at times.

### 4/5 — Good game but glitch in level 23

*2023-12-01*

I like the game i just downloaded it two nights ago. Only problem is i think there’s a glitch in level 23. There’s these ninja throwing stars that are supposed to be moving up and down and instead they’re glitching in one spot making it impossible to pass that stage. Please fix!!

**Developer response:** Thank you for playing Space Intern!
Could you send me a screenshot on my email contact@oakygames.com with the bug?
In the middle of the 23rd level there are saws that are static and you need to jump on crumbling platforms above them. Not sure if that's the place you meant. :)

### 4/5 — Good but..

*2023-11-26*

THIS GAME IS GOOD ITS JUST IF I LEAVE THE LEVEL AND I WAS AT A CERTAIN PART THE GAME RESTART ME OVER THATS THE ONLY PART I DONT LIKE BUT OTHER THAN THAT ITS GOOD👌🏼💕

**Developer response:** Thank you for playing! I'm happy you like the Space Intern.
Could you tell me more about the bug you are experiencing? Please, send me more info to contact@oakygames.com I'll try to fix it :)

### 5/5 — Hidden gem

*2024-06-26*

The movement feels very smooth. The level design is well thought through. Overall 10/10 platformer.

### 5/5 — Great Game!

*2024-04-15*

This is a very good game. If you like Dadish, you will definitely like this game as well. I hope you add more levels or a part 2!

### 5/5 — Dadish Clone?

*2024-03-16*

Whether you think this is inspired or ripped off the Dadish series it’s a great game. I enjoyed it just as much as I enjoyed those games.

## Most praised reviews (7 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Solid Gold

*2024-01-26*

This is a somewhat hidden game on the App Store, but look no further, this is the game you’ve been looking for. It is surprisingly difficult, but fair. The puzzles and inputs are hard enough to be rewarding, but not hard enough to need a guide to get through. The mechanics are simple, but they are deeply explored and worked in interesting ways. The boss fights are amazing for a 2D platform game. The unhinged NPCs add just the right spice of humor. The music is fire. Plus it isn’t cluttered with ads or in-app purchases.

**Developer response:** Thank you for such a nice comment! It's rewarding to see others enjoying and appreciating my game! :)

### 5/5 — Reminds you of a certain vegetable

*2024-01-22*

The Dadish inspiration is apparent in many ways. Only the music leaves to be desired, it’s not bad just doesn’t slap like Dadish tunes. Gameplay’s good though

**Developer response:** Thank you for your comment! I'm happy you like Space Intern! :)

### 5/5 — This game is great but it reminds me of

*2024-01-19*

Dadish which is a game by Thomas k young it’s a great game and you should check it out but this game is really good and if it gets a sequel I would be the first one to download it

**Developer response:** Thank you for your comment! I'm happy you like Space Intern... and Dadish, which I like very much, too! :)

### 5/5 — Bravo

*2024-01-13*

Great, but hard, game. Love it. Halfway through so far. This can easily be released on the Switch.

**Developer response:** Thank you! I'm happy you like Space Intern!

### 5/5 — Great Platform Adventure Game

*2024-01-07*

This is one of the best platform adventure games I have ever played, not just on mobile. It has an excellent balance of challenging yet still beatable. The game is a lot of fun and I am surprised there is not more great reviews and downloads. I love the space theme, the dark and silly humor within the short dialogue, and how addictive it is to play. Most free games on iOS, are either terrible or littered with advertisements, this has only 1 ad after beating a level, that’s it, which is enough for me to handle. I am even considering buying this game and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys playing platform adventure games, 5/5!

**Developer response:** Reviews like this are very rewarding for a game developer. Thank you! I'm very happy you enjoy Space Intern so much! :)

### 5/5 — A Nice Platformer

*2023-12-30*

It's a genuinely good game. The levels are a nice challenge but not too difficult to be annoying. The dialogues are hilarious and i really enjoyed it.

Would really recommend👍

**Developer response:** Thank you for your review! And I'm happy you like my quirky dialogues :D

### 5/5 — Quite possibly a perfect game!

*2023-12-16*

Difficulty is just right. Not too hard but not too easy. Ad volume is perfect also. Usually games like this, after you die several times in a row, they throw an ad at you - just when you’re getting in a rhythm and have figured out what to do next, they break your concentration with an ad. Not this game!!! There are NO intrusive ads. The only ads are between levels and not overwhelming. Also there are generally no long sequences between check points. After banging your head against the wall and finally getting through are hard section, it’s a great relief to see those checkpoints. Overall - great gameplay, great graphics, good variety of mechanics, obstacles, and enemies. Great job devs! This one is a home run!

**Developer response:** Thank you for such a great review! It's rewarding when players appreciate my efforts :)
I'm happy you like Space Intern!
