I recently redownloaded the game. STILL better the most of whats out there today. HOWEVER. To play the game these days, you have to subscribe to YET ANOTHER monthly pay subscription. Geeez im tired of the subscriptions. So there you go. Great game. I just started playing again after finishing this game multiple times in the past years, but this time it’s thru Game Center. It’s just as fun as the first time, except that I lose all control of my spaceship about every minute or two. I have to pause the game, then resume to regain control. At times, I can’t even pause as the whole screen becomes unresponsive, so I have to swipe the game away, then come back to it. Needless to say, due to the frequency of this issue, it makes game play not enjoyable. Not to mention that when I’m in the middle of a battle, I often die because I lose control of my ship and can’t pause or swipe away fast enough to regain control. No one wants your weird social group. For a couple dollars more you can get Disney Channel…. It was a five star game for sure and I would download it every couple of years to play it again. This last time it had been completely ruined by gameclub. It’s been a redownload several times for me and always been a good time killer. After downloading it with the new owners I was rather annoyed with all the ads. The biggest problem I have with it now is I cannot play without cell service. I enjoyed the game when I got it because it was cheap and I didn’t need cell service for at work or other places. The game is unplayable until this is fixed. This is not just a game, it is a finely tuned instrument of addiction. This game alone has literally turned my iPod into my favorite toy of all time! Please keep it coming Venan! UPDATE 2021: Still love my favorite game even after all these years, but now sadly am going to subtract a star. Have been playing it since shortly after it first came out, and it was just fine until it became included in “Game Club”. Now there are these periodic ads that pop-up for all these other games that I couldn’t care less about. If you take this game as seriously as I always have, these interruptions are really annoying. It takes lots of concentration to score really high in this game (like >100,000,000), and ANY distractions are unwelcome. Had I known this was going to happen would have never updated it. Now regret having updated. PLEASE put a setting or option in the game to turn off these unwanted and unwelcome ads/distractions/annoyances, and I will gladly reinstate my 5-star rating for Space Miner. UPDATE 5/2021: Well, I guess someone in a position of power saw my review of this incredible game. Have noticed that after having played it through the last 4 times, the unwanted ad interruptions have somehow magically disappeared! Maybe someone somewhere “flipped a switch”? 😋 Whatever happened, THANK YOU! A 5-star rating has gladly been reinstated, and would give this game 10 stars if I could. ### 5/5 — AWESOME *2021-03-30, version 1.6.40* Many many years later I load up Space Miner and decide to complete where I left off. Then find newlevels! Love it. Original review: Thanks for not forgetting about Space Miner. It's still the best game I have played but now it's even better. I would happily have paid again for this. Completed it about 13 times now but looking forward to starting all over again. Now.....
