## What is Spacemates?

Spacemates helps roommates stay in sync, without the group chat chaos and awkward money conversations.

SEE WHO'S HOME
Spacemates automatically shows you which roommates are home or away, so you're never left wondering. Set your home address once, and status updates on its own — no manual check-ins needed. Want it to keep working even when the app is closed? Turn on background updates for hands-off accuracy.

SPLIT EXPENSES FAIRLY
Post what you bought, split it evenly or however makes sense, and keep a running balance with each roommate. Log a payment, and it's tracked automatically. No more guessing who owes who, or awkward reminders.

CHAT, BUILT IN
Message your whole house together, or open a private 1:1 conversation with a specific roommate — including its own dedicated space for splitting costs and settling up just between the two of you. Share photos, and if you're in more than one Space with the same person, your conversation and balance stay in sync across all of them.

LOCATION, ON YOUR TERMS
Choose exactly what each roommate can see about you: a simple home/away status, named places you've saved (like the gym or library), or your live location. Every setting is per-person, so you're always in control of who sees what.

BUILT FOR HOWEVER YOU LIVE
Whether it's a house, apartment, dorm, hostel, or hotel, Spacemates adapts its look to match. Add or join multiple Spaces if you split time between places, and switch between them anytime.

Spacemates uses anonymous sign-in; no email or password required to get started. Just create or join a Space with an invite code, and you're in.
