## What is SpacePress?

Your iPhone is full. Your photos are not the problem — their file sizes are.

SpacePress finds the heaviest photos and videos in your library and re-encodes them to HEVC and HEIC at close to identical quality, so the same memories take up a fraction of the space.

EVERYTHING HAPPENS ON YOUR IPHONE
No servers, no account, no analytics. Your photos and videos are never uploaded, and network access is switched off for the app's photo requests. Originals stored only in iCloud are identified and skipped rather than downloaded.

YOUR ORIGINALS ARE SAFE
Compression always creates a new file and never touches the original. Nothing is ever deleted without you asking for it: when you decide to reclaim the space, you review each pair, compare the two versions, and confirm through the system dialog — deleted originals stay recoverable in Recently Deleted for 30 days.

QUALITY THAT SURVIVES A SECOND LOOK
Video bitrate is chosen per clip from its resolution and how much the picture actually moves, not from a blind preset. HDR and 10-bit footage keep their colour information, audio is copied untouched, and creation date and location are preserved.
