It mostly resembles the original game we played in college long ago. Great graphics. However lately the ads keep popping up in the middle of the games and remains there. I have often quit the game. When I first played this game many years ago when there was no such thing as AI. It makes me furious. You can’t call a meld and win much, so you’re stuck with a very bad hand if cards that are so low in number which drags the game out longer and makes me drowsy just waiting till the end of the game comes. I WISH the developers would consider making it a true game of cards where you can use your skills and not be tricked by AI. I really thought this was THE BEST spades game in the App Store, but now I am ready to delete the app because of the horrible frustration I get from playing it. PLEASE developers, can you PLEASE take out the AI????? Then you might have more gamers playing your card game. ### 1/5 — -10 stars *2025-01-23, version 2.5.8* This continues to be a set other players as often as possible game, not a real spades trick taking game. The only way they can do this is by frequenting cheating. ### 1/5 — Once upon a time… *2024-07-29, version 2.5.7* This used to be my all time favorite. Unfortunately the scoring is now just wrong. Finished a NIL bid and partner scored required points but the score received was just 67. It’s just terrible!! ### 1/5 — Spades so horrible *2018-10-10, version 1.8.6* The reason it’s called spades is because the trump cards are spades and because you can’t follow suit doesn’t necessarily means you must use your trump cards; however, this game will not allow you to throw out another suit unless you used up your spades. I think all these developers need to read about spades again and go back to the drawing board. So far I downloaded five spades games and none of them are worth play what a waste of technology. As long as you are not allow to renege a couple books it should be straight forward until you play the advanced game whereas the sandbags come into play. Help me please to some Normacy! ### 2/5 — Jokers *2026-04-25, version 2.6.3* While this game/app is one of the better ones available, PLEASE program it so that the computer generated team players know how to distinguish between the BIG JOKER, Little Joker, & 2 of spades when the Jokers option is on. My computer generated teammate BID a NIL but had a BIG JOKER. PLEASE FIX THIS ASAP!!! Your partner bids against himself with Nil when he holds the Ace or wins a bag when he could have allowed the bag to be picked up by the opponents. It’s designed at times to make you lose. The only saving grace is the different games that are available to play (suicide, whiz, normal, blind, and mirror). Those feature games keep you coming back to endure the frustration. I just wish the AI was fair and not designed to intentionally allow you to know that it’s cheating. FIX IT and I’d be willing to PAY FOR THIS GAME!!!!! You guys are loosing money because you don’t realize the genius behind the new game versions you’ve created for spades lover players!!!!! ### 2/5 — This app doesn’t things to keep you in the app *2020-02-29, version 2.0.8* I loved this game until I started picking up on the way the game goes to keep you playing. Like when your partner (the computer) says it has not books but it has the highest joker. That was the last straw after more than a few times of that happening. It’s just a play to keep you playing longer. I updated the app still happened.
