Once you purchase chips, the game can effectively force you into extremely high-stakes games — in my case, 1 million-chip games — by not giving you reasonable lower-stakes options. This means chips you’ve paid real money for can disappear within just a couple of games. This feels deliberately designed to push players through purchased chips as quickly as possible so they’ll buy more. I seriously question whether these practices comply with Australian Consumer Law, particularly the rules around fair and transparent in-app purchases and potentially manipulative game design.
