Last game partner played a 3 of diamonds! ### 3/5 — Partner does not cover *2026-04-06* I have found many times when I bid nil my partner does not cover me. The latest one was when I had a K and 6 of spades and my partner had the A and Q of spades. They needed one more trick to make their bid. The opponents played a 5 and J of spades. I had to play my 6. My partner took the trick with their A. Why? N bids nil holding 10, 9, 8, 7 of Spades, the opponents NEVER bid that stupidly! 2. West bids nil. I‘ve led the A, K of a 5 card suit and am still holding the Q and 2 small cards. N has discarded on my K. I then play my lowest card. West plays the Jack! Yeah, I think, their nil is broken! Wrong—North , my alleged partner, trumps the trick! Whoever programmed this AI doesn’t know how to play Spades! Incidents like this happen often! ### 2/5 — Ok but not too bright *2023-08-18* The Game makes mistakes that are quite stupid: tops partner’s K with the Ace when it has another card in suit, does not trump it’s partner’s lead when there are many higher in suit cards yet to be played, really dumb about nil bids in many respects. The game has no contextual sense at all. Worst aspect is “optimistic bidding”. North, the AI, fails its bid 35% of the time: totally unacceptable. Every once in a while the scoring goes nuts: charges for 40 failed nil bids in one hand!!! Often more worried about the bag count that setting the opponents. Still, fun most of the time. ### 4/5 — Best Spades Game no ads *2023-06-17, version 6.3.4* As long as you account your partner over bids this game is the best so far. No ads during game is excellent. It was crazy how my “partner” would bid huge numbers-and never get them. I changed the settings to more conservative playing and that helped for awhile. The “partner” has NEVER protected NIL bids— except for the opposing team-consistently playing his highest cards and effectively giving the other team the NIL every time. Now- every hand the opposing team either has a huge hand or bids NIL. In these last few days I have not been able to win one game. It is frustrating to say the least. So, if you want to lose every game-play this Spades app. You will be happy every time! I gave it two stars because before it actually gave you a chance to win—now it is just NIL after NIL-huge opposing team bids leaving you no chance. Good luck! And in that game we had been more than 100 points ahead..but we lost the game. If the bot had just bid 1, we would’ve won! The opponents NEVER bid that stupidly! 2. West bids nil. Playing four as singles, the developers have skewed the deals so you have voids and singletons much more frequently than in normal play. During YOUR nil bids, the others will always lead their lowest cards, but during any one of THEIRS, they pay no attention at all and routinely lead their highest., not caring how many bags they take. You can do better. ### 1/5 — Don’t Waste your time with this game. *2022-06-30* I’ve been playing Spades for 40 years on and off line. These are the most stupid robots to play with. They go Neil with a jack, 10,9 and 8 of spades all the time and it’s only 3 cards that can be covered. Or when you go to Neal they don’t cover you. Try a different speed game don’t waste your time with this. They do it all the time my partner and the other team. The game is good because you get 100 pts for a nil and 200 for a blind. You can blind it on the first deal and more than 50% of the time the game will try to cheat you and you get 200pts. Your idiotic parter won’t make his books more than half the time, but you are so far ahead that as long as you don’t trust your partner you will win. If you start trusting you will be busting and that is a bad place to be when the computer is dealing itself pad hands. ### 5/5 — No Ads and Fast Game Play *2025-07-27* The trick to figuring out a good spades game is by using your mind. Why are there 4 different game developers all advertising their App as #1? Because Apple doesn’t care to verify the ratings because they make Ad revenue by allowing anything on their platform. Meanwhile, the game developers make money by marketing a falsehood. This Spades game sits near the bottom in popularity. Let’s keep this App a secret and leave the dumb AI algorithms for the gullible and naive. ### 5/5 — Spades *2024-11-18* Love this game with very limited ads. There is an ad banner across the top but doesn’t interfere with play.
