I have been looking for free Spanish apps to help me improve my grammar and vocabulary. I found Duolingo and this one. This one is not completely free, but it's only $2.99 to upgrade. A bargain compared to so many pricey apps I have come across. Once I have used this app for at least two weeks I will come back and hopefully rate it a full 5 stars. In settings you can choose to change it from Spain Spanish to Mexican Spanish. ### 4/5 — Good except for advertising *2012-11-03* Pretty useful for learning verbs, and taking your skills beyond travellers spanish. It always pops up both Marron and Pardo together. A lot of the time it’s in the middle or at the last of 200 words and I pick the wrong word for Brown, when both are correct. You could do this also on THAT which eso or ese, but you don’t only in the words for Brown in SPANISH. When I go into written grammar exercises, they ask for a missing word, and half the time I have no idea what word they want me to use. I just finished a quiz where I was supposed to guess that it was their seventeenth try. Any number I put in there would have been just as right. I uninstalled and reinstalled several times to no avail. Instead of me using it to improve my Spanish I let my child use it.
