It helps focus on grammar and verb conjugation in a very helpful way. I wish the listening exercises had clearer audio with them though. But the explanations showed I was right. After you purchase this app for about $5 you have to pay another $1.00 for an in app purchase if you want audio. Unfortunately, I did not read all the fine print and should have but I still feel this is a sneaky way to get an extra buck. If you want this to be a fully functional app be prepared to pay SIX DOLLARS. I am not sure I would have knowingly paid this much. My feeling is that the developers didn't think people would pay six bucks up front so they bet there is a better chance they could squeeze out more money with an in app purchase. **until you read the full description of this app. ### 1/5 — EXTREMELY disappointed *2013-02-25, version 6.5* I purchased this app to use as a reference tool for students in my 1:1 iPad classroom. Needless to say, I am very disappointed that basic grammar lessons are INACCURATE. For example: explaining SER vs. ESTAR as *anything* like "permanent" vs. "temporary" is absolutely inaccurate and leads to YEARS of misunderstanding for students (let alone the reteaching nightmare for teachers). Deleting this app. What a huge waste of my personal $$. I really wish there were a way to recover funds from Apps. I wanted a lot more good conjugation exercises in different tenses. Not really useful. ### 2/5 — Not useful for student vocabulary list studying *2012-10-25, version 6.4* I purchased this product for my 7th grader to practice for school tests. The vocabulary in this app only had about 75% of the words I needed to review. It didn't say the words so I bought the in app upgrade to be able to listen but it doesn't seem to say the vocabulary words I picked from the list. Also, there are useful phrases but the in app quizzes didn't allow you to pick phrases to quiz on. Finally I went to the website that is supposed to allow me to add the additional words I need but after making an account I was not able to use the site and don't see where I would add the extra words into the app vocabulary list. Basically I feel this was a very bad purchase and is not meeting my needs. ### 3/5 — Good app *2012-03-03, version 6* Makes learning Spanish as easy and interesting as it never had been. This app mainly has a bunch of text descriptions of spanish grammar rules. Good as a reference but not so good as an interactive training tool. It's very disappointing considering the potential of the iphone. In fairness, it does have a fair amount of vocabulary but all the answers are multiple choice so there is no opportunity to produce it on your own. There are much better apps out there for learning vocab. The conjugation practice is pretty good but again multiple choice. I can live with this as often you know the verb and it's just figuring out which is correct. Other than that there are very few grammar excercises and the app comes off half baked.
