### 3/5 — Good app

*2020-04-02*

It’s a good app that I find useful. It could easily be a great app if they added speech to it. Other apps use Siri to speak the Spanish words so it can’t be that hard to add. Even though this has features I really like I find myself using other apps a lot more often because they incorporate speech into them. Adding speech would make this easily a 5 star app.

**Developer response:** Speech has been added to the latest version of the app.

### 4/5 — Needs a tour

*2016-11-03*

Actually this App is very good once you get the hang of it. What it would benefit from though is a brief how to get started and use this App front end.

### 3/5 — Great so far

*2014-05-15*

This app has been pretty useful so far, although it would be great if you were required to type in the answer instead of just tapping the screen.

### 4/5 — Super!

*2011-09-11, version 3.0*

I already love this app! It's just what I've been searching for! And the coming update will make it perfect!

P.s. I just thought that i would also love to do the task the other way around. That the conjugated form is given and one has to say which person, tense and infinitive it is.

### 2/5 — Poor user interface

*2010-11-09*

This app has potential however the user interface is NOT user friendly at all and it's very hard to navigate.

Unless they update don't buy. There are better apps out there for just as much money.

### 4/5 — Good app !

*2010-10-23*

Unfortunately, the only way to learn the spanish verbs is to learn, learn, learn & this app allows you to do that easily. It is a very simple app that doesn't do much apart from let you practice over and over again but helps them sink in. Recommended !!

### 3/5 — A wonderful app

*2010-09-23*

This app has everything I need to help me learn my Spanish verbs. The developer also gives great support. I couldn't figure out how to make a personal verb list to drill on and he wrote me a set of directions immediately even though he was on vacation in Spain. You can't go wrong by buying this app.

### 2/5 — Has Problems

*2010-08-22*

This is a great app for learning conjugations when it works. Keep having problems with it crashing and I lose all saved verb list when that happens.

### 4/5 — Good, on the way to Great

*2010-07-19*

I've used this app for several months. No crashes. I use it primarily on my iPad. I like it because I can test my progress in learning the various tenses. I've made some suggestions to the originator of the program for some changes to an iPad only version that have been favorably received. When those are done this will be a fantastic program to help with the tiresome chore of memorizing all those pesky conjugations. But even now I start a timer on my iPhone for several minutes and let the Verbos program pick random verbs in the various tenses I'm trying to learn. I then write down the "correct" answer and see how many I can get correct in my 5 minutes. Then I can easily calculate how many I answered and the percentage of correct answers to make it a little game of am I getting any better at this. It is also easy to use the iPhone version in those situation where you have a few minutes to practice. Quiet time at night, a Dr.'s office, watching the wife in a clothing store, it is easy to refresh one's memory in just a few minutes. And after awhile one begins to see progress in the daunting task of memorizing the various tenses, the irregulars, etc. In the beginning you might get 50% or 60% correct and over time work your way up to higher percentages. There are a couple of online free programs that do this, but they work with a limited number of verbs, only allow one tense at a time, and one has to be connected to the internet of course. For only $3 you get a portable program that allows one to do this anywhere. If you want to improve your proficiency at conjugating verbs, then this is a program you should have on your iPhone or iPad.

### 4/5 — needs translations

*2010-04-24*

This app is great but it needs translations for the conjugated verbs. Other than that it's an amazing app.

### 5/5 — Greate (have just one suggestion)

*2010-02-25, version 0*

The application is greate, I like it very much, but this is what I suggest:
I think it will be a good idea to add a button that goes directly to the "list of all verbs" screen from main screen.

### 5/5 — Must-have app for learning Spanish

*2010-02-17*

For native English speakers, who are mostly mystified about why verbs need conjugating, let alone how it should be done, this is an essential application. There is only one way to get the verbs in your memory and that is by practice. This app allows you to do just that, practice, just when/where you need and precisely tailored to your own requirements.

The app is probably so good because the author has been through the same verb-learning pain.

### 5/5 — Learn your conjugations!

*2010-02-03*

This is the best one of only a couple of apps out there for learning verb conjugations. All the other apps teach you lots of vocabulary, or maybe the verb infinitives, but this one teaches and quizzes you on all the conjugations. And for hundreds and hundreds of verbs. So, while it may not be flashy, or have pictures (how could it?), it does its job relentlessly and well. Unless you speak Spanish fluently, if you want to have a passing chance at going to a Spanish speaking country and getting your thoughts across, you'll need to know your conjugations. It's that simple. Plus the developer is easy to reach and quickly fixes the occasional bug that might pop up. Great app!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Clunky and unresponsive

*2019-05-30*

The app has a database of verbs, and they’re accurate, but the app, I’m sorry to say, is quite poorly put together. For instance, when clicking to reveal the answer, lots of times it simply skips to the next answer and.. that’s it, can’t get back to the question you had.

Similarly, trying to find where to disable tenses in the UI is hard to find and clumsily designed. It’s laid out like an excel spreadsheet as an app; not too great.

### 1/5 — Бессмыслица.

*2019-01-17, version 5.0.1*

Только заключённый в одиночной камере может развлечься такого рода лотереей случайно выпадающих ему для заучивания глагольных форм.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2016-01-18, version 4.2.4*

Bad grafics. Keyboard don't show up. Simply useless.

### 1/5 — Crashed!

*2010-08-20*

I had three sessions before it stopped working. I reported the problem. A waste.

### 1/5 — waste of money

*2010-07-28, version 0*

The more I use it, the more angry I feel. The quiz is not helpful because it only flashes the answer. You should have to write the answer in. I have downloaded better apps that were free and wish I did not waste my money on this.

### 1/5 — Crash!

*2010-01-25*

The idea is great and it apparently works well for some but like others have posted, after a few launches the app crashes and won't launch.

### 1/5 — One of the worst applications I bought

*2009-08-29, version 0*

It's not possible to search a verb and see it's conjugation. Not worth a single cent.

### 1/5 — Crashed

*2009-05-11*

The concept of the program is good, unfortunately, the software only worked for two weeks. Once I selected subjunctive verbs to study, the system crashed and has not worked since. No updates or notices posted from the folks who wrote the program. Do not buy this program until they fix the bugs and post a notice on this page stating the program has been fixed or you will have wasted three bucks.

### 1/5 — Crashed and never worked again

*2009-04-28*

This app worked for 5 minutes, and that was it. I wasted $2.99 and I am annoyed and feel ripped off. Requesting a refund and I will report if not received within 3 days.

### 2/5 — Flash cards - wasting of money

*2016-03-31, version 4.2.4*

It is not trainer at all. Simple flash cards! There is no option to write the verb form so the app would check the answer. Either you need to write it down on piece of paper and compare to right answer or just "imagine" what answer shall be and check against answer.

There are few free apps with better interface and same functionality.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Brilliant App - best verb drills of any App

*2024-11-01*

I’ve been using this App for 3years or so and it has become an essential part of my daily routine. The app provides a very large number of verbs but you can refine that to create your own drills. All conjugations are catered for and can easily be tailored to your need. The only problem I’ve had is when I changed the standard font size on my apple devices - the app screens were not working properly but all was OK when I reset the font. You can do timed drills to fit your daily routine and practise with just one verb if it is causing you problems. It’s been around a while but is streets ahead of the competition still.

### 5/5 — Simple app that works as advertised

*2016-06-06*

I love this app because practicing the conjugation is essential for fluency, yet can be pretty boring. This app allows you to do it when you have downtime (e.g. waiting in a line). You can save verbs that give you more problems in a list for later review. The customer service is excellent as well. I got an immediate response regarding a conjugation question about a particular verb.

### 5/5 — Portuguese next?

*2015-09-11*

Great app! I currently use the Italian and Spanish versions to practice - hope they come out with Portuguese next!

### 5/5 — First Rate. ¡Estupendo!

*2011-06-22*

Brilliant program. Does what it says. Excellent support. Wish I'd found it sooner. Worth every single penny. This is the best program I have found and I use it every day as it's so easy to use and definitely helps. You can pick any combination of what you want to be quizzed on too. Excellent!

### 5/5 — Easily my favorite verb app.

*2011-03-16, version 2.2.1*

This is easily my favorite verb app. You can quiz yourself by tenses, or - most importantly - make your own lists! My only wish is that they make a version for the iPad :)

### 5/5 — M

*2011-02-03*

Great app, I'm in my third year of Spanish at university and I'd definitely recommend it! Well worth the money.

### 5/5 — Worth FIVE times the price!

*2010-11-14*

I can't say enough good about this wonderful app! It is very flexible and useful... and support is fantastic. I found a verb that was not included and e-mailed support. It was instantly added and the developer e-mailed me with instructions to update the verb list. If you are learning Spanish and want to drill yourself on a specific verb list, specific tenses, specific persons, regular or irregular verbs, -ar, -er, -ir verbs, the combinations are endless. It is MORE than worth the price. I quiz myself all the time and am LEARNING and RETAINING now! Buy this app!!! You won't be sorry.

### 5/5 — Very helpful app

*2010-08-18, version 0*

I am trying to teach myself Spanish and have down loaded lots of apps and this is one of the ones I use the most. It took a while to figure out the options but now I really like it for drilling verbs. I disagree with the reviewer who wanted to have to write in the answers - that would be so slow. I set up lists that I want to drill and think or say the answer, then flip the card and move on. Also there is the option to remove vosotros from the drills. Sometimes you just have to use "brute force" repetitive drills to learn a language and this is a great tool to drill yourself on conjugations.

### 5/5 — A good one tap way of testing/improving your grasp of verbs

*2010-05-24*

You only really can learn the conjugations of verbs in Spanish by plenty of repetition. With this app you can do that easily without a lot of the bother you get having to type in the verb endings using online verb testers. Here you can do it much more lazily with one tap of your finger and just think the answer in your head and then it's one tap to check if you're correct.

There are quite a few options for honing on on the tenses that give you trouble. Also you can choose your own lists of verbs to concentate on. I made one with just 3 completely regular verbs, 1 ar, 1 er, and 1 ir.

If you're a bit lazy like me but get all competitive when it's turned into a competition to beat the app then this app encourages you to keep going and beat those verbs into submission.

If there was an option to test yourself on just one conjugation, say the first person singular, then the app would be superb.

Update: The updated app will now allow you to concentrate on one type of conjugation if you choose.

### 5/5 — Fantastico

*2010-03-26*

I have been using 2.1.12 for a few days to study my past tenses. Very fast and efficient. Works great for use on the metro since no keyboard action needed. Nice set of choices for quizzing. Developer seems very responsive. An app I am extremely happy to have (and I have a fair bunch of Spanish learning apps).
